A sweet story full of patience, understanding, and love.
From the Mane Full Of Stripes blurb:
Omega Jost wasn’t looking for a relationship until one night he met Apollo in a club. The instant he saw him he knew there was something about him and when he realized, he panicked. He wasn’t ready to meet his mate.
Apollo saw Jost and couldn’t look away. When he caught his scent, he sensed who Jost was to him but also saw he’d been hurt. Apollo understood Jost needed to learn to trust him, to know Apollo would never hurt him and that would take time.
Time spent together eased Jost’s concerns and the more he got to know Apollo, the deeper Jost’s emotions become until someone from his past reappeared and wasn’t going to let Jost slip away.
Can Apollo reach his mate in time or will Jost’s past tear them apart?
Mane Full Of Stripes is a low angst, with an age-gap, omegaverse, mpreg story with a determined prey who wants his mate and a predator taking his sweet time.

Angel's review:
Dual POV••Fated Mates•Slow burn•Abuse from past partners••Mpreg••Alpha/Omega
Jost and Apollo's story took me a bit to get into, the writing didn't immediately pull me in but I kept reading anyways. I'm glad I continued reading it as the story got better the further into it I got. Jost has experienced a lot of pain and has trauma due to his awful ex, when he meets his mate he isn't sure if he's ready for another relationship yet. Apollo not only understands but is supportive and really listens to him. He continues to show up for Jost in different ways, prioritising getting to know each other on dates in public spaces and taking things slow.
Apollo takes his cues from Jost and their relationship is really sweet. I liked how they took their relationship slowly, and all the dates they went on were well written and adorable to read about. I liked the slow burn aspect this story had, it wouldn't have been as successful of a story if they had just jumped into bed together right away. I appreciated the fact that this author had the MC's take their time truly getting to know one another before getting into bed together.
The side characters were great! I loved all the banter Jost had with his family, especially the dialogue with his siblings. So funny! My only critique is that there was a lot of build up surrounding the two people who were causing so many problems for Apollo... But then it never really came to fruition. It was just mentioned at the end that things got wrapped up with them.(It did say what happened but I don't want to spoil anything.) I just wish there was a bit more to it since it was brought up so much throughout the story, I was expecting something big to have happened with them.
All in all, this was the first book I've read from this author and I enjoyed reading it.
