Hate To Love by Autumn Winchester

Abuse is enough to want Oakley to pray for his life to end. Then he is sold. Finding out what his new owner will do is scary.

From the Hate To Love blurb:

Oakley's journey begins in darkness. Unwittingly sold on the dark web, he finds himself living in fear.

But then enters Sabastian—a compassionate man with the kindness Oakley never thought he would encounter.

Can Oakley and Sabastian transform their fates? The road from hatred to love is a winding one, filled with unexpected challenges and revelations.

*Contains child abuse themes such as imprisonment, lack of care, and physical abuse

Reed Kaye's review:

This is a heart breaking story.

Sabastian is a rare man. He has a big heart and immeasurable patience. After he saves Oakley all his emotions and heart are tested.

Oakley has been abused since his mother dropped him off when he was nine. He has lived with fear and torture since until he is “sold”.

Oakley finds himself with a new owner, Sebastian, but he doesn’t know what is expected of him.

Sebastian rescuing Oakley never expected the attraction he felt for the boy who he originally thought was a girl. This leads to a multitude of attempts to take away the fear from Oakley but there just doesn’t seem he is able to get Oakley to trust him.

This journey is heart wrenching. The author was able to make me feel the emotion of these two.

This story really brings to mind there is life going on that most of us thankfully don’t deal with.
