Thirst Quenched (The Unwilling Adventures of Harlow & Foxx Book 4) by Shelby Rhodes

Foxx and Harlow seem to be a magnet for danger to find them, no matter where they go, or what they do, danger always finds them.

From the Thirst Quenched blurb:

Foxx Honeywell, here. So, picking up where we left off...and things are decidedly not okay. But, hey...what is fine...is my love life. Which is a win in my book, considering how badly all my former relationships have gone. And really, it's not often you become someone’s boyfriend and have to deal with their strange secret camera obsession for keeping you safe. No red flags there!

It’s just everything else that is pretty bloody horrible. Multiple old enemies, some new ones, a not so mysterious murdery group, and just all around hatred everywhere. You know, on top of me dealing with Harlow while the man works through, and sometimes fails to work through, his brand new issues. I may end up burying a fifth boyfriend—I haven’t decided yet.

Anywho, it probably won’t be fine. But Harlow and I are still breathing! So that counts for something!

Angel's review:

This book is full of danger, new(ish) characters, and plenty of adorable bickering. This story picked up right where the previous books left off, which as you might know left off on a cliffhanger. When this story starts we continue right where the last book ended, we get more information and details about what happened to Harlow when he got kidnapped, and what a dhampir is.

This addition was my favorite as far as plot progression and relationship development goes, there was so much that happened in this story that just added so much more to the overall series. We got to see Harlow and Foxx actually admit they are in a relationship, along with seeing different dynamics from both of these men. Usually Foxx is the bubbly, happy character and Harlow is the grumpy one, but in this story, both of these men are grumpy. Which is completely understandable seeing as Foxx has to not only try to hide Harlow from the Vampire Council, but he also has to try to teach Harlow how to control his new abilities.

I found the aspect of a vampire and a werewolf disease really interesting, I think Shelby did an excellent job creating that aspect, and I thought it made this story in particular more unique. One of the aspects I love most about this series is Harlow and Foxx's bickering, it's always humorous to me to read about their bickering, and there was plenty of that going on throughout this story. Some of the side characters that were only mentioned previously made a bigger appearance in this book. Those being Doc, Santiago, Tony, Charity, and Daydric. I hope they all get their own stories, I would absolutely love that!

Please keep in mind that you cannot read this book without reading the previous books first, if you read this without reading those you will be confused and lost within the mayhem that is Foxx and Harlow. Something that you can come to expect with Shelby is how she loves to end her books with cliffhangers, and this cliffhanger is so much worse than the previous one. This cliffhanger made me want to scream because I want to know what happens! Lol. Alas, I must wait for the next book to find out what's going to happen next.

All in all, a fantastic book! The pacing in this book was a bit slower than the others, but it didn't detract from the overall story.
