Who We Truly Are dives deeper into the relationship between humans and the enhanced and why they are the way they are.
From the blurb:
Talon’s deadly abilities are spiraling out of control. Desperate to keep Finn safe, Talon struggles to protect the man he loves with all his heart and not become the greatest risk to Finn’s life.
Finn has no choice but to offer himself as bait for the evil forces kidnapping enhanced children, facing danger he is untrained and unprepared for, and he will have to do it alone.
Does Talon have one last fight in him? Will he slay everyone who wants to destroy Finn and the team, or will he finally discover that to defeat their enemy and the ultimate threat, the biggest battle he has to face is one with himself?
Molly Otto's review:
Audio review:
Nick J Russo is back for this installment and yet again shows us why he is such a great narrator. He draws you into the story more than from just reading and keeps you on your toes wanting more. Like seriously, I couldn't put this down from start to finish.
Well, that is one heck of a follow-up to an outstanding start to a series. I didn't think this series could get any more of a thriller, but here we are. Finn & Talon are trying to balance their work and outside of work partnership, and yeah, let's just say they have a few bumps along the way. Talon is unable to understand Finn truly accepts him as he is, and it the process hurts rather than builds up their relationship. It takes more events out of their control for him to admit how far and hard he has fallen. It is a truly thrilling tale from start to finish.
