From the Enchanted Folklore: The Complete Series blurb:
Escape to a magical world filled with fantastical creatures, spine-tingling adventures, and burning hot romance, with Beth’s trademark humor, emotional and epic journeys and beloved characters.
There’s a lost prince, hoping to stay lost. Another prince, desperate to be found. An ancient creature, banished from his own kingdom, willing to do anything—even find his own happily ever after—to save another.
Yours, Forever After - After years spent lost in his beloved books, Prince Emory awakens to find his villainous aunt working to usurp his throne. When she sends him on a dangerous quest, he’s certain the journey is a trap, but he’s not willing to accept defeat without a fight. But a fight is something Rory is unprepared and untrained for, until he’s saved by a handsome, unassuming farmhand and his snooty, smug, and surprisingly talkative unicorn.
Yours, Everlasting - Evander has gone by many names in the last thousand years. He’s lived almost as many lives, using his immortality and his unique shapeshifting abilities to become anyone and anything. He's ready for a well-deserved rest. But the past never stays buried, and he discovers that it’s been watching him. Marcos, the Guardian of War, has waited, he’s observed, he’s admired, and he’s yearned. But now it’s time for Evander see him for who he truly is. An ally, not a foe. Maybe even a lover.
SNik's review:
Collection of the Enchanted Folklore series, which includes Yours, Forever After, with its epilogue novella, and Yours, Everlasting. Paranormal fantasy. Slow burn. Dual POV.
Yours, Forever After - Gray barely escapes his royal former life when he is eleven years old, and now leads the life of a hardworking farmer with a talking unicorn as his only companion. When another prince shows up and needs his help Gray is reluctant to rejoin the politics of royalty, but something about Rory has him willing to take on any kind of danger. The connection between Gray and Rory starts with attraction but builds between them is genuine. I enjoyed the world building which was pretty straight-forward with a magical unicorn that only gives enough information to have Gray and Rory have some growth before agreeing to join forces to face their shared enemy. Both Gray and Rory are likable and have personal growth but once they are committed to their feelings they never waver.
Yours, Everlasting - Marcos has spent hundreds of years being close to Evander, but never letting him see beneath his disguises and always yearning for the beautiful, banished guardian. Evander’s latest effort as advisor and father figure has come to fruition, but now he is at loose ends, still saddened by his banishment and loneliness when he discovers Marcos has been his constant companion all along. I enjoyed the continued world building, the adventure, and Evander and Marcos at odds but unable to resist the pull of attraction and feelings. Marcos is just swoony as a warrior cinnamon roll that has been pining for Evander for centuries and never wavers in his feelings, even at the expense of being hurt. Evander’s slow realization that Marcos is truly the companion his heart has yearned for is sweet, and he is an equal partner to Marcos in their journey.
