Dock Tease (Swallow Cove Book 1) by DJ Jamison

Welcome to Swallows Cove a small inlet fishing town full of fun and unique characters. Dock Tease is an age gap low angst high laughs debut book to a new series.

From the blurb:

I’ve been in love with Hudson Nash for years, but he’s too stubborn to admit he wants me too. For a whole bunch of stupid reasons.

Like the fact I’m too young. (What’s a twenty-year gap? Age is just a number, am I right?)

And a virgin. (Which he could easily fix!)

And maybe not the best choice, given he and my dad hate each other. (It’s not that ba— Okay, it is that bad, but our love could totally rise above, right? It would be epic!)

I see the way he watches me like a starving man. The heat in his eyes when I flirt with him. The longing that he feels too.

If Hudson won’t stop pushing me away, I’m just going to have to show him what he’s missing.

I’ll flirt with the pretty boy tourists who come my way. Or maybe the gruff but sexy boat tour operators. Heck, I’ll flirt with the dang fish if that’s what it takes for Hudson to make a move.

I’ll be a total dock tease—until Hudson makes me his.

Because I’m not a tease at all. Not for the right man.

Molly Otto's Review:

What a fun way to kick off a new series! Huge fan of age gap romances when the younger one has a better head in his shoulders. Fisher has always had eyes for Hudson, even when he was feuding with his dad. He puts himself out there, and yes, it's not always smooth sailing, but in the end, it all works out for the best. Once these two get it right, they get it right, such a fun and hot relationship!

Swallows Cove now is an ensemble of unique characters that I personally can not wait to get to know more of. You have crazy octogenarian who cause more trouble than grown adults should. A friend/family group that will do anything to see each other happy, what's not to love? It's an all in all great cast with punny shop names that just keeps you hooked in.

Heather's Review:

Puns, age gap, tension and a little suspense come together in Dock Tease to give us our first glimpse of DJ Jamison's new town - Swallow Cove.  I had fun reading about Fisher and Hudson, finding out about the Weekend Hookers, and the other fun town names and finding out about how the town and the story unfolded.

I had fun reading it, but some of the puns pulled me away from the romance and the rhythm of the story - but now that I know more about it, the next book should be a smoother read.
