Anson's Ambition (Heart of Harmony Grove) by Quinn Ward

We return to Harmony Grove and get a glimpse into Anson's world, which may just be becoming a little more chaotic... in Anson's Ambition.

From the blurb:

He's determined to be my friend, but what if I want more?
Over the years, I’ve watched my brothers drop like flies. One by one, they fell in love while I focused on building my career. And that was fine by me. I’ve never been the type to be driven by my libido.

Until Kevin.

I don’t know what it is about my completely annoying neighbor, but he worked his way under my skin like no one else ever has.

First, he helped me fix my fence. Cool.

Then, we started hanging out, cooking dinner together because it’s easier to cook for two than one.

Hell, he even managed to get my dog to love him more than me.

All of that came to a head the night I lost my mind and kissed him.

Me, the man who’s never initiated anything in his life. And suddenly, I can’t get the younger cop next door out of my mind.

Things are going to get complicated if I decide to run for mayor. Yeah, because that’s a thing that happened, too. Don’t get me wrong, the mayor needs to go, but I’ve never had political aspirations.

Is Harmony Grove ready for a mayor who’s falling in love with one of the (very male) local cops? I guess we’re about to see…

Anson's Ambition is a demisexual awakening, age gap romance set in Harmony Grove. It’s filled with meddling family members, the local officer with golden retriever energy trying to make friends with the grouch next door, and just a touch of kink.

Heather's Review:

I've been waiting for Anson's story ever since we saw his showdown with the mayor and his announcement of his candidacy for that roll... you knew that Quinn was just itching to heap one more thing on Anson's plate - a demi-sexual awakening and a person who fits him seem to be what we got - and it was lovely!

I love how Anson feeds off Kevin's energy and how he both loosens up and takes stock of his life, finding focus and drive towards new initiatives that his friends and family see as being outside the box, but really are part of his heart and soul.

While this book can be read standalone, it will be enjoyed more if you know what came before, so I recommend reading the series in order.

Anson's Ambition is currently available as an e-book in wide release.
