Unfettered Demon (Found & Freed: The Unfettered Book 3) by S. Rodman

Unfettered Demon is the next entry in the rescued harem boys from S. Rodman. The demon Gray needs help in order to return to living among humans, and Mal is just the man to give the incubus all the sex and patience that Gray needs.

From the blurb:

He owns me. Controls me. Will he love me?

For a hundred years I’ve been chained to a bed and used by humans. I’m a pathetic, broken excuse for a demon. An incubus who is lost.

All I know is fear.

I drift, dream and dissociate. It is my only escape.
I barely remember being kept in a billionaire’s harem. I hardly recall these paranormal boys who call me their friend. They say we are free now. I’m not so sure.

My new keeper is called Mal. He is handsome and dangerous. He feeds me well and pulls me back to reality. He is stern and dominating, and I think I like it. Surrendering to his will would be so easy.

I think he likes me. I think he cares enough to catch me when I fall.

But I don’t trust. I can’t trust. That part of me has been shattered into a thousand pieces.

Is Mal strong enough to hold me so tight that all my jagged parts fit back together?

Or is he my final destruction?

Unfettered Demon is the third book in the Found & Freed: The Unfettered series, which follows the lives of seven paranormal boys after they escape a billionaire's harem. The books are best read in order but can be enjoyed as standalones. There are no cliffhangers and happy ever after is always guaranteed.

Unfettered Demon contains hurt/comfort, a captor/captive type situation, forced proximity, possessiveness, “touch him and X,” and learning how to be loved when you don't feel worthy.

SNiK's Review:

Third in series (Unfettered), best if read in order. Paranormal. Hurt/comfort. Forced proximity. Quick read. Mostly single POV, some dual POV. Heed content warnings.

Gray is an incubus demon held captive for years, but his memories are scattered and now he only knows the man taking care of him. Mal was only supposed to help settle the former harem captive demon, but it takes longer than he expected to help Gray relearn how to live with humans without unleashing his dangerous demon abilities.

This story was high steam, with a huge dose of hurt/comfort, but slow to build the emotional connection between Gray and Mal since Gray is really dependent on Mal and feels controlled by him at first.

Gray is desperate to overcome his past, and Mal starts to have feelings for Gray, and even though the story does not get deep into their backgrounds, it was still enjoyable.

Even though it has dark content, this is a spicy, entertaining series.

Jacquie's Review:

A sweet, damaged incubus and the man tasked to be his keeper as he heals.

Unfettered Demon touches on a lot of heavy subjects, and Gray has a lot of trauma to deal with.

Very steamy throughout, but the feelings and relationship between Mal and Gray are a slow burn.

I think it's better to read this after the other 2 in this series for context on the other characters and more of an understanding of what happened to Gray before they were rescued.

Great read
