Companion novella to the Anonymous Hookup (The Hoookup Duology). Single POV. This story is from Sam’s perspective and is supposed to be read after the first book, but honestly it can be read as a standalone, however might be more sweet if read after Lane’s POV in the Anonymous Hookup.
Sam is approached for a no-name no-strings hookup at a local gay club and doesn’t hesitate. What he doesn’t expect is the chemistry to be off the charts hot, and when he meets his hookup again he can’t help but ask for more. However, Sam finds he can’t help his growing feelings, and there is definitely a special connection between him and Lane, there are definitely strings now. This is a light story filled with humor and some steamy times, both Lane and Sam get caught for the long-haul and that’s perfectly fine. Sweet HEA.

Although we see a lot of the same scenes from Sam’s pov we also get more of Sam’s awesome sense of humour in this book and more from Claire and Evan who are Sam’s friends and co-worker's so it’s really worth the read . The added bonus to reading this is that awesome epilogue that was just perfection and leaves you with a happy heart ❤️

This can be read as a standalone, but it is a companion to The Anonymous Hookup as it's the same story told from Sam's POV, and Anonymous is from Lane's POV. I read both together, one after the other and I'm glad I did it that way, as I think I got so much more out of it.
This is a novella, as such it's short and sweet and perfect. Lane is persuaded to go out and find an anonymous hookup, and meets Sam. It all goes well but fate has other plans for these two, throwing each other together until the inevitable happens and they get their sweet HEA. I loved seeing this from Sam's POV, it was quite different from Lane's, and these two truly belong together. Lane was pretty dense a lot of the time but glad he came round quickly and saw how great these two are together.

If you need a short, sweet and wonderful novella, I highly recommend picking up this book...but do it in order... It gives you so much insight into Sam's POV after reading Lane's POV in The Anonymous Hookup and adds a greater depth and understanding to the story world.
It was a great way to revisit the world and build on the past and to really solidify the story and the HEA that comes from this couple.
