This installment features an assassin who just won’t quit, little old ladies at slot machines who should NOT be messed with, a zipline action-hero moment, shocking secrets and revelations, a death-defying climax, and just maybe… a zany Vegas wedding? This book has an HFN ending and no cheating. Never fear—there is a guaranteed HEA by the end of the series!
Chloe Archer is just one of those authors that has you laughing your arse off from start to finish! She does mix in heart and soul along with the ridiculous antics of River, with Kai along for the ride, cause well, he's kind of stuck with him for life now🤣. Definitely more steam in this book from previous installments, and they were great!
Cannot wait for the next installment to see how this series goes!

Ok, Greg, how are you able to pull this narration off without cackling the entire time!
Anywho, Chloe proves again why she is such a force to be reckoned with in this alien and even more fun tentacle romance! There were several times I had to reference my Kindle edition to see if I heard what I heard. Yep, every time. So many laughs were mixed with a thrilling adventure from start to finish.
Greg does a fantastic job of delivering these words to hold us captive from start to finish. This can not be listened to as a standalone, so please listen in order to understand this wild ride.

I thoroughly enjoy Greg Boudreaux's narration, and this book was no exception. There is clear continuity from the previous books and even with the addition of several new characters, it was easy to know who was speaking.
River and Kai are adorable together. Kai is struggling with the fact that there is an assassin after River. It makes him feel powerless. His vulnerability is sweet and not entirely true. He shows his skills.
They are in an established, but whirlwind, relationship and take the next step in this book, which I loved. It just works for them.
The plot is fast-paced, with a couple of surprises which kept me hooked.
After all the teasing, we'll finally find out about this ceremony!
I'm hoping Benji's book isn't too far off.

So honestly, I very rarely read sci-fi books, but I love this series, which I highly recommend as audio!
It's best to read the books in order. The story of Kai and River continues here. It's wonderfully written and has everything a great story needs: Intriguing characters, humor, romance and suspense, and a phenomenal narrator.
Now that River's origins and heritage are known, a hitman is on his trail and Kai tries everything to make sure nothing happens to River. This is not so easy, as he discovers.
Did I mention that River and Kai are really hot together? And then there are some surprising twists that I wasn't expecting and it was heartbreaking at times.
Chloe Archer's writing style is great and the many references to movies and songs often made me smile.
An absolutely amazing book!
Great entertainment and Greg Boudreaux knocked it out of the park! Listening to this audiobook is an experience not to be missed. Greg reads very vividly with many different voices for the protagonists and I couldn't turn the audiobook off. I will certainly listen to this series more often, but now I really need volume 4!!!
