Our Team reviewed individual stories from some of these amazing authors and this is what they had to say:
SNik's Review
This review is for Here Comes Santer Claus by KL Hiers. Single POV.
This story starts with an immediately dark setting and describes fear, panic and desperation so well. Mark is in the mountains to hide a dark secret, meanwhile he ruminates about the reported things that supposedly haunt the area, things like the Santer, a monstrous cat looking being. When Mark meets the Santer their interactions are unexpected and confusing, and when their connection includes safety and attraction Mark doesn’t necessarily want to escape. A little bit of horror, a little bit of sweetness, and a well-written story about something that goes bump in the night that may not be that scary after all.

Angel's Review:
The three stories I read were dark, steamy, and very unique! Not your average festive book!
He Sees You When You're Sleeping by Duckie Mack, Rating; 4
I was caught off guard when I saw Duckie Mack was apart of this anthology because she isn't known for dark romance. I think she did really well!! While I'm used to lighter books by Duckie, I quite enjoyed her venture into a darker romance. I liked the idea and concept of this story. The only thing I'll note is this story felt like there was something missing? It kept making it seem as though it was leading up to Chase figuring out something about Archie, But then nothing ever happened. Other than that though, I thought this book was neat!
Deck The Halls With Vengeance by Briar Kearney, Rating; 4.5/5
It took me a bit to fully get into this story, but once I was able to get into it, I was eager for more! I was taken on the vengeful journey Matteo went on to try to find who dared to take Leif, and who had the audacity to harm his family. I really enjoyed this story! The relationship between Leif and Matteo is already established when this book starts, and continues on to tell the story of what happens to people when they take Matteo's heart away from him.
I have to say, I don't think I can ever view garland and Christmas lights the same way ever again, not after how it was used in this story. Haha! Overall a really great story, I wish we got more!!
Silent Knight by Davidson King, Rating: 5/5
I've always loved and enjoyed reading Davidson King's books, and this one is no exception. Extra and Senon's story was unique and special. I thought the story itself was written really well, along with the characters. I liked the concept of Senon being Ezra's Silent Knight, I thought that was really special. While this is technically a short story it doesn't feel that way, at all. It all works and makes sense, the plotline is fleshed out, the characters were described well too. Overall a really great story about a not-so-human, and his Silent Knight.
Sheena's Review:
This is for the Alex J Adams story - Prelude to Madness.
I've read all of Alex's work at this point, and I knew she could write dark, but this was another level. Dark, twisted, and just when you think you've got a handle on the story, it twists again and it's wonderful. This is also much more steamy than anything she's written before, and it really worked for this story. Most of the time I thought I knew what was real and what was in Eric/Rick's head, but in the end, I had no clue and I liked that.
Because of the nature of an anthology, it's a short story but packed full of twists yet with a HEA/HFN. I hope to read more in the anthology, but as a taster, this was great.
