"This one was so amazingly written!!" Tatted_book_freak loved Public Affair.
From the blurb:
London is in the grip of a heatwave, but something else is causing Nihal Varma’s temperature to skyrocket.
The CEO of a PR agency, he’s used to dealing with glamourous and beautiful people. He’s woken up with a lot of them too.
Yet when Carl Carrington, MP and candidate for leader of the opposition, walks into his office, Nihal finds himself a bag of nerves. And that never happens. He soon discovers that not only is Carl stunning to look at, he radiates decency. In Nihal’s world, that’s a very rare commodity.
When Carl insists on working with Nihal only, he’s entranced. Could this MP be interested in a man whose past is…chequered, to say the least? Nihal ‘I don’t do relationships’ Varma really hopes so. Even if getting involved with a client, especially such a high-profile one, is not just crazy. It’s insane.
But for once Nihal is out of control and that makes a man do very strange things…
Tatted_book_freak's Review:
Eeekkkkkk!!!!!!! I am overjoyed with happiness after reading Nihal and Carl’s story, Public Affair! The trajectory at which Kristian takes us on is eventful and action-packed with every turn of the page, but I wouldn't have expected anything less for Queen’s Crescent’s most eligible bachelor!
“𝓝𝓸𝔀 𝔂𝓸𝓾’𝓻𝓮 𝓪 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓶𝓪𝓷’𝓼 𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓹, 𝔂𝓸𝓾’𝓵𝓵 𝓷𝓮𝓮𝓭 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷.”
“𝓐𝓷𝓭 𝔀𝓱𝓸 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽 𝓶𝓮 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝔂𝓸𝓾?”
First off, I appreciated Nihal’s staff, they knew him better than he knew himself (especially Bee). Then there's Carl, the overworked politician striving for his dreams. I absolutely loved these two together, straight-laced Carl with commitment-free Nihal. The growth of their characters was magnificent, and the steam was off-the-charts hot!! Their flirtatious banter was amusingly fitting, with a fiercely bewildering connection! And, the passion and desires were felt through the phone!! Ten thumbs up for this addition to the series, and for diving into Nihal’s history.
Not sure where Kristian plans to take this series next, hopefully, we'll be blessed with a Mrs. Whimpole and Professor, because what better way to close an intensely nosy street than with the Queen of gossip herself!
