The Butler by Michael Robert

Fall in love with love in Michael’s heartfelt story of money not buying happiness in The Butler.

From the blurb:

The Butler by Michael Robert

A twenty-one year old college student has the rug pulled out from under him when his professor boyfriend abruptly ends their relationship, replacing him with an even younger teacher’s assistant.

A year after his heartbreak, Deklyn Dalton is still at a loss as to how he can move forward when an unusual job offer, one he’s not qualified to perform, comes his way due to the connections of a friend.

Thirty-nine year old billionaire, Lincoln Carrington, fresh off of losing the love of his life to a best friend and employee, is headed to his mega yacht to heal from the devastation brought on by the betrayal he recently suffered.

One man is a desperate college graduate who happens to land a two week job as a butler in a world of wealth and opulence. The man he is to serve is surrounded by the successes of his wealth but lacks the one thing he desires the most: true love.

The butler and the billionaire are on a collision course in this tale from the high seas. Can two broken men from different stations in life find their way to love or are some arrangements doomed to fail before they even begin?

The Butler originally appeared as a novella in the anthology, Cruising, released in 2022. This update is the full length novel with twice the content and an epilogue conclusion not to be missed.

Tatted_book_freak's Review:

One of these days, preferably sooner rather than later, I am going to take the time to go back and read through Michael’s backlog of stories, because after reading just my second of his, I can officially admit that I love his writing style! The hidden messages, and the blatant ones too, take the reader to another level of understanding further than the surface level.

Linc and Dek were a match for the stars, complimenting and challenging one another. Having both just come from challenging relationships, they were faced with taking a chance at love again after heartache. Gaining trust was difficult, especially when they were both compared to their previous lovers.  Once getting past their insecurities and realized this was their chance, to work together, they built a love made in the stars!!  Oh, and the smut scenes were fiercely hot!!
