Third in novella series (Elysian Escapades, spin-off from the author’s Escape series). Best frenemies and fake boyfriends. Dual POV. Quick read.
Marnus and Pierce are best friends that act like enemies and sort of wish they were more. But Pierce has been hurt before and Marnus has only recently realized his attraction to Pierce when Pierce’s awful ex makes an appearance.
This is a short story so there is not a lot of background but there is enough description and understanding of the established relationship between Marnus and Pierce to make them falling for each other sweet and special.
Some harsh friendly banter, honest communication, and some steam made for a fun read.
