Bro and the Beast: The Wolf's Mate, Book 2 by L.C. Davis

I can't get enough of the absurdness that is the Bro and the Beast Serial!

From the blurb:

This is what Brad gets for finally "sinking his teeth into a book," like his nerdy brother is always hounding him to. He definitely wasn't expecting the book to sink its teeth into him.

With the newfound knowledge that he can get pregnant as an omega, Brad's urgency to get back to his world of touchdowns and keg stands is intensifying by the minute. Unfortunately, so is his attraction to Raul, the possessive alpha shifter who broods mysteriously and smells like sandalwood and something uniquely masculine.

Not one to sit on the sidelines, Brad is determined to change the fates of his favorite characters before he heads home. But what's a frat bro to do when the original heroine shows up and he's not quite as ready to hand back her role as he originally thought?

Author's This is the second serial installment of a new mpreg series following Brad, a quintessential frat bro and Raul, the brooding werewolf love interest he never asked for--and, in typical '80s alpha male hero fashion, is never gonna give him up. Prepare for hot shifters, snark and banter, gay awakening, found family dynamics, sassy (and intrusive) siblings, a villainous heroine, cliffhangers galore, and meta mayhem.

Jacqueleen the Reading Queen's Review:

I am obsessed with this serial. The whole storyline is absolutely bizarre, but I totally dig it. In fact, I love everything about it. From the broody cliché alpha werewolf to the huge hot mess of a frat boy himbo.

It's utterly ridiculous and refreshingly unique which makes it just about perfect in my book. My only complaint is I wish it was longer!!

Rating: 5 Stars

Jacquie's Review:

Bro and the Beast is a gem of a serial. Each part is in novella length and keeps me wanting more.

I just love how prickly Brad is! Poor Brad is all mixed up about suddenly being an omega and his feelings for Raul. To be fair, that's a lot to cope with before you consider he literally comes from another time.

Ooh it's really getting interesting! As it says in the blurb, there's a cliffhanger. I might have read the blurb for the next installment so I knew going in what was going to happen - it still took me by surprise.

Cannot wait for more.
