They Call Him Levity, Welcome Boulevard #1 by Davidson King

One man who's only known life on the streets, and the other who knows wealth and luxury. With the next book due soon, Angel is catching up with the series, They Call Him Levity is first.

From the blurb:

Levity works the streets of Welcome Boulevard, begging people for money. It keeps food in his belly, a leaky roof over his head, and he gets to do it with his best friend, Clove. No, it’s not the ideal life, but he does what he must to survive.

Salvatore Grillo is a man who is used to getting what he wants. He’s a loyal brother to his autistic sister, runs numerous business empires, and knows how to make people to bend to his will. It’s not often someone comes along and shakes things up. And then Levity smiles at him.

Levity’s idea to pull in more money draws Salvatore’s attention, and while being the focus of a crime boss should be terrifying, Levity is intrigued by the man. Not to mention, Sal is as gorgeous as he is powerful. The two gravitate toward one another and soon are wrapped up tightly in each other’s worlds. When enemies try to break through their doors and their lives, Salvatore has to do everything in his power to save not just himself but Levity too.

Not knowing who is behind all the chaos or when they will strike makes their happily ever after almost impossible. Time’s running out for Sal and Levity. Will they survive, or will their story end before it’s even begun?

Angel's Review:

I didn't quite know what to expect from this story at first glance. The description intrigued me and I had to read it right away, and I read this within two hours. It was so well written and had excellent characters that dragged you into their story. Levity is new to working the streets for Guillo, he doesn't know the man himself but he's heard of him from his friend Clove. He's been on the streets for a long time and doesn't know niceties. When unfortunate events happen to Levity and his friends, Sal makes sure his friends are safe in a hotel room, and Sal has Levity stay in his mother's guest house to recover from his injuries. Over time those two men got to know each other better and feelings start to develop between them.

But with someone trying to kill Levity and his friends, and a man who has been stealing money from Sal, they keep getting pulled in different directions. If you want to know what happens next you'll have to get yourself a copy.

I am really glad I was able to read They Call Him Levity, these sorts of stories are ones I really enjoy. Yes, Sal was using people whom are homeless for his own gain. But! He realized that was wrong and wanted to do better and be better. He admitted what he was doing was wrong and put forth a plan to change. His relationship with Jacqueline was soo sweet, I really enjoyed those moments between brother and sister. And the bond Levity, Clove, and Maze, had was true friendship. This book was exceptionally well written with an amazing plot, with awesome action scenes.

I'm really looking forward to Clove's story!
