Camboy by Colette Davison - Review, Excerpt and Giveaway

We've come to the end of the My Kinky Housemate series, with Hendrix, the house Camboy, up last.

From the blurb:

Having a foursome is a dream come true, but navigating a relationship is more challenging.

Being a camboy is great, but I’m bored of performing solo. I’ve invited myself to be adult film star Lyric Steele’s co-star for the day, and I’m taking my partner-in-crime and soon-to-be-housemate, Rubin, along as my chaperone.

It doesn’t take long to realise I’m attracted to Lyric. And to his flatmate, Toby, a talented director with a firm hand. And to Rubin, who I’ve been flirting with forever. A steamy night proves the four of us have chemistry, but taking our relationship out of the bedroom won’t be easy.

Lyric and Toby have their hands full with my bratty ways, and Rubin’s no angel either. Will good communication be enough to turn sexy fun into something strong and lasting?

Camboy is an MMMM friends-to-lovers, steamy, age-gap romance with two Doms, two bratty subs, and found family. It’s the sixth and final book in the My Kinky Housemate series. While it can be read as a standalone, it’s better to read it as part of the series.

Heather's Review:

Hendricks and his connection to the Kinky Housemate house have been teased throughout the series, but we learn so much more about who he is and why he behaves the way he does... and then Colette Davison amps up the heat by partnering him with not one, not two, but three amazing men and watching them figure out and define their polycule was both steamy and sweet!

Hendricks has been the house comedy relief and chief cheerleader throughout the series, but now you get to explore his past, his relationship with his sugar daddy and also meet the three men who he's strongly attracted to...

We also get to continue visiting with the housemates from the rest of the series, including cameos from the men who have moved away... and baby Aiden of course!

The one bright side is that while wrapping up the housemates series, Colette leaves a tiny window of hope that we'll see these men again, maybe with a spin off featuring Arthur and his next sugar baby - please??? Or giving us a chance to explore The Library?

For those who are all about the polyam in mm romance, this book could be read standalone, but you'll enjoy it best when you've read the complete housemates series imho.

Jacquie's Review:

It's always bittersweet to get to the end of a series, but Camboy takes the My Kinky Housemate series out in style.

If you've read any of the series, you might have been curious about sex positive Camboy, Hendrix. He's propositioned each of his housemates in turn, but none of them fell for him.

He's got a kissing friends relationship with Rubin, Quinn's stepbrother, but as both are subs, they aren't compatible long-term.

Lyric and Toby were great additions to the cast, and the many sexy scenes between all four were really hot. They did spend time as couples and as a group, which made it more authentic.

There is finally an answer about who the landlord is, and that was so sweet!

Loved all the other characters popping in, it was a perfect way to say goodbye to the series.

Nicole's Review:

Goodbye kinky housemates 😭

I’m so sad that we are at the end of the Kinky Housemate series.  We have been on pins and needs waiting to see how Colette would give Hendrix his happy ending, and I was so happy she managed to include Rubin as well!  As we should know, they are best friends who kiss, but are unfortunately both subs, so they can't see a future together.

The introduction of Lyric and Toby is exactly what they needed.  They mirror Hendrix and Rubin.  Best friends, but both Doms so they aren't compatible either.  I loved the introduction of Rubin and Toby first, before the interaction with Lyric and Hendrix.  There is solid footing with the pre-established relationships here, but I will say there was almost an instalove feeling for the MMMM grouping.

Colette did such a fantastic job with the communication between all four men, it felt very sincere.  As always, the kink was on point, and we finally get to meet Arthur.  The epilogues were everything, and I'm sooo sad to say goodbye.  I'm waiting with baited breath and fingers crossed for the possible spinoff series she's teased in her FB group.

I take my turn. “Have you ever had sex in public? Not unless you count sucking off that jock in empty classrooms.”

Rubin frowns. “Haven’t you had sex in the stacks at The Library?”

“No.” I smile stiffly. “But I’d like to. I also want to do it somewhere more risqué.” I smirk. “Like sucking someone off in a restaurant or having a quickie in a lift on the way to the top floor of a tall building.”

“I told you he had at least twenty sexual fantasies.” Rubin pulls me to him and kisses my hair. “And I know I’ll enjoy listening to all of them.”

I wave my hand. “At least twenty. I could list them all right now if you wanted me to.” I run my finger over my bottom lip. “They might turn you on, but that’s okay, isn’t it?”

Lyric shudders. “We’re playing a game.”

I let out a dramatic sigh and then knock the Jenga tower over.

“Why did you do that?”

“Game over. Oh no. Maybe we should fuck instead.”

“He did it because he’s a brat,” Toby says. His voice is firm, but there’s an underlying hint of amusement ruining the effect.

“A brat who wants to be fucked. Or spanked. Or allowed to suck off one or all of my men.” I flutter my lashes. “I’m not fussy.”

Lyric laughs. “I’m sure you’re not.”

I return to Rubin, put my hand on his nape, and stare into his eyes. “Kiss me?”

He obliges, devouring my mouth. I moan and whimper around his tongue and rub my chest against his. Eventually, we have to break to breathe.

I flutter my lashes at Toby and Lyric. “Please, Sirs, can we watch you fuck?”

They glance at each other, eyes sparkling.

Toby rubs his thighs. “They did ask nicely.” His earlier hesitance seems to be gone. Thankfully.

“All right,” Lyric says. “On one condition.”

Rubin and I stare at him expectantly.

“You’re not allowed to touch yourselves or each other.”

“What?” Rubin asks.

Lyric smiles. “You heard. You’re not allowed to touch yourselves or each other.”

“We’re not even allowed to kiss?” I ask, horrified.

His smile morphs into a grin. “Nope.”

“That’s…torture.”

“I know. Take it or leave it.”
