Avenging Des is the fourth book in the series and each makes the characters more familiar. Das and Cillian are childhood friends and watch out for each other but as they get older Cillian leaves Ireland and moves to the US. When Das gets in more trouble than he can handle he turns to Cillian. The previous characters reappearance adds a lot to the story.

Avenging Des is the fourth book in the series and each book draws me in deeper. Des and Cillian grew up together and looked after each other until Cillian left Ireland and went to the US. It’s been a few years since they were together but when Des gets in trouble he can’t handle, he turns to Cillian. Des is gay and has been in love with Cillian since they were kids but Cillian is straight and a playboy. Des has tried to face the fact that the relationship between them will always be just friends. Until they are together again and Cillian is forced to make choices.
When Des has to explain what he did to cause him to be in danger, everything changes. The “family” gets together and plan on what to do to protect Des.
I enjoyed the characters from previous books having major parts in the story. From the first book with Mickey, I feel like watching the lifeline of these characters and each story just adds to knowing the characters better. Again, the scene of Patrick being tied to the bed made me laugh and the way the author makes this group into a “family” warms my heart. I am really enjoying this series
