Touched by the Morningstar: Incubus Dreams (Rise of the Fallen Book 3) by Lissa Kasey

Author Lissa Kasey has decided that the pen name Kaeya Lee wasn't working and will be releasing each part of the serial faster under their original pen name. The Rise of the Fallen serial returns in Incubus Dreams.

From the blurb:

Yuri awakens to dreams of Star and nightmares of rising magic power.

Bonded to the Master, Yuri discovers the magic inside him has grown a taste for power and lust.

The Master’s attempts to satiate Yuri’s rising hunger evolves into a whirlwind of need, a decade of starvation giving the magic a life of its own, making Yuri dangerous and unpredictable to all who surround him, including an angel who only wishes to protect Yuri.

To save the last remaining seraphim, Yuri is sent to Dracula to learn control.

Will he find salvation or madness with the Monster of Legends?

Angels, demons, Lucifer, vampires, Dracula, and one unusual human chef! This is a why choose serial with mild enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, with angst and Yuri is a cinnamon roll character with need for affection surrounded by a bunch of warriors, princes, kings, and monsters drawn to seek out his gooey center.

Tatted_book_freak's Review:

This series continues to escalate as the story unfolds. Apparently, Yuri is a force to be reckoned with as his hunger continues to grow, unfulfilled even after an intense scene with Master. And I mean INTENSE!! Theo also makes another brief yet crucial appearance, leaving more questions unanswered.

“𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖎𝖘 𝖇𝖚𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖉, 𝖇𝖚𝖙 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖊𝖝𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌𝖚𝖎𝖘𝖍𝖊𝖉. 𝕸𝖎𝖓𝖊 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖔𝖓𝖑𝖞 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖇𝖚𝖙 𝖆 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖉𝖔𝖜 𝖔𝖋 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖘.”

It is evident by Yuri’s strength to overcome even Master’s hold that he is mixed with something unworldly.

Reading Yuri’s POV allowed a glimpse into his desires, how he’s feeling throughout his journey. An obvious connection with Star is once again made evident as he continues to come during Yuri’s dreams.

Cannot wait for the next installment! So excited for Yuri and Dracula to face off, and hopefully get some more much needed answers.

Jacquie's Review:

The story is advancing, spoon feeding information in carefully measured doses. Every page captures my attention and leaves me wanting more.

In Incubus Dreams there is some steam with an encounter with the master that was just great.

I have so many questions and really hope this will be worth the payoff when we get there.

I know the serial aspect may out some off, or they might wait till more are out, but this is worth it so far. Now that the author is releasing them faster, you don't have to wait as long.

Angel's Review:

This is the third 'serial' of Lissa's  Morningstar series. In this 'episode' we learn more about Yuri's hunger, and what he craves. We learn more of his monster/creature and what it entails to feed him. Not even a demon master can control him, and due to Yuri's growing hunger; the master has to send him away to keep the Seraphim safe.

I really hope Theo will end up okay, maybe once Yuri learns control they can be together?... Maybe?

I'm looking forward to learning more about Yuri and what type of creature he actually is. And who is he going to end up with?

Holly's Review:

Yuri’s hunger is insatiable, and despite going to some incredible lengths to have his soul's hunger sated, nothing seems to be working. No one is even sure what Yuri is or how to help him.
So for the safety of the masses, he is magically bound and transported to Lucien’s father in the hopes that he’ll have enough power to teach Yuri some much-needed control.

Sadly things don’t go to plan when Yuri ‘devours’ Dracula’s famous garden of souls and transforms, only to be brutalized by one very angry Dracula.

More, please!
