Love/Hate, Sealed with Ink #1 by Quinn Riley

Quinn Riley breaks onto the MM scene with Love/hate,  an emotionally charged enemies to lovers that will break your heart over and over before putting it back together again.

From the blurb:

Our story is a lie, a relationship built on fake promises and hopeful dreams.

He’s my bully.

I crave revenge.

At least that’s what I keep telling myself for my plan to succeed.

I need Korbin freaking Rose to be consumed by me.

So I can crush his black heart, leave him broken and bleeding.

Except now, with each kiss and touch, my plan shifts.

There really is a thin line between love and hate.

From author Quinn Riley comes Hate/Love, an angsty, second chance gay (MM) romance that will have readers gripped.

Jacqueleen the Reading Queen's Review:

"How could you hate someone for breaking you? Yet, love them at the same time?

The saying is right. There is a thin line between love and hate."

What a debut!! This book was a rollercoaster ride of emotions done in true enemies to lovers style. We start out in high school, with Korbin being one of the worst kind of bullies. He's the type that throws you in the dumpster and makes you sit in it while calling you trash. He spews homophobic slurs and does everything he can to make Lyrics life a living hell. All of this so no one looks too closely at him, so no one figures out his secrets. It was awful and that type of bullying abuse led to lifelong repercussions in Lyrics. I have no idea how the man ever forgave Korbin, let alone allowed himself to become intimate. But he did, although it didn't have the outcome he was planning.

"We were never meant for happily ever after, two screwed-up teams who clung to the false taste of happiness."

This story takes place over a span of years. Their parting is devastating, but necessary. So much miscommunication, yet I don't think these two could have ever made it work the way things were going at 18. Lyric needed to find himself and work on his mental health so he could actually be in a place where he could love someone fully. Korbin needed to do the same. He needed to understand the life Lyric led in order to truly realize the depths of his transgressions against him.

In a truly fucked up turn of events, it's almost like these two switch places and personalities. Anger, hate, hurt, betrayal, passion, forgiveness, love. We run the gamut of emotions in Love/Hate. I seriously couldn't put it down because after everything these two had been through both together and separately I needed to get to their HEA. I needed that solid proof that things were going to be okay, that Lyric and Korbin were going to be happy.

I also need book 2 because I am chomping at the bit to find out the background behind Zane and Maddox. There's a story there and I bet its a good one.
