Aisle Be There (Runaway Grooms #1) by Charlie Cochet

A runaway groom pretending to be a famous rockstar's boyfriend with disguises and kisses, what could go wrong? Heartache may be right around the corner again as Gage and Jett are reunited, but can they stay together for real once the music stops? Aisle Be There is the start of a new series by Charlie Cochet.

From the blurb:

They say your wedding day is the beginning of your happily ever after.

But I’m pretty sure they never stood on a sweltering Florida beach getting ready to promise forever… only to change their mind at the last minute and be assaulted by a crustacean while fleeing the scene.

Once upon a time, I was a respected Navy officer. A guy who made a career out of managing chaos.

Now, I am the chaos, a groom on the run from my ex-fiance and his dad’s goons. Oh, and the guy driving the getaway car? That would be my ex-boyfriend, Jett.

Gorgeous. Brilliant. A guy I couldn’t help falling in love with twelve years ago.

The guy I realize I’ve always loved.

Did I mention he’s also a famous rock star on a sold-out summer tour?

This situation has disaster written all over it. But if I can manage the chaos, maybe I’ll get my happy ending after all.

SNik's Review:

First in series (Runaway Grooms), set in the author’s Four Kings Security universe. Fake boyfriends. Second chance. Dual POV.

Leaving his fiancĂ© at the altar begins a series of chaotic events that leads Gage right into the arms of his old boyfriend and famous rockstar Jett Stevens. When Jett proposes a fake relationship during his band's concert tour, Gage readily agrees, he’s never stopped loving Jett so even hanging out for a short time is worth another heartache. But Jett also hasn’t forgotten how much they loved each other and the more they spend time together (and having some swoony dates) it seems another heartbreak is eminent when the tour eventually ends.

There is a lot of joy and fun and playfulness in Aisle Be There. Both Gage and Jett are likable and there is a great set of supportive secondary characters (not counting Jett’s horrible uncle/business manager, of course).

It seemed like Gage and Jett were younger and more carefree together and I always enjoy a well written second chance story where it’s obvious the couple is meant to be together. A fun and entertaining start to this new series.
