From the blurb:
Jacob would move mountains to spend Christmas with someone special. A suspicious death and Park Ranger Cody Spencer will help him do just that.
Special Agent Jacob Miles was looking forward to spending Christmas with someone special, but the job always gets in the way—or so his FBI agent ex keeps telling him. So, it’s looking like another lonely holiday at home.
But first, he’s got to get to the bottom of a suspicious death in the picturesque mountain town of Silveridge, Colorado. A local drug dealer has been killed, and the local sheriff’s minimal investigation seems to suggest that something’s not quite right.
Jacob isn’t thrilled to be sent undercover a week before Christmas to look into what he is sure is a case of country-cop incompetency, but then his local contact, Park Ranger Cody Spencer, has him looking at his trip, Christmas and the case in a whole new way.
Can Jacob decide which matters more, the case or his heart, before the holiday is over and one—or both—are lost?
Janet's Review:
Moving Mountains was a great story with some really good twist and turns and a nice mystery to solve.
Jacob just wants someone to spend Christmas with, his closeted friend at the FBI isn’t willing to risk his career for him. He is sent to investigate a suspicious death, undercover. When he arrives, he is met by Cody, a park ranger. Cody is the sunshine to Jacob’s grumpy. He makes Jacob look at things differently. In turn Jacob starts to realize that his FBI hookup isn’t willing to change for him, but there’s also more than meets the eye with this case he’s investigating. Cody and Jacob are total opposites but really make a perfect couple.
Overall, this was a great story that was well written with nice pacing that kept me engaged and flipping the pages.

SNik's Review:
Part of a multi-author series (A Secret Santa story) but all are standalone stories. Action suspense. Insta-love. Quick read. Single POV.
Going undercover to investigate a suspicious death in a small mountain town is not how Jacob wants to spend his Christmas, and his instant attraction to Cody the park ranger helping him is unexpected. The problem is that Cody is close to every person in town, especially those involved that may be suspects and Jacob can’t tell him his real identity.
Entertaining story and investigation into a possible murder, lots of interesting secondary characters, and some steamy interactions between Cody and Jacob. If you can accept that Jacob is not honest about his identity and feelings develop quickly (it is a novella), then this will be a fun read with holiday elements to add to your reading list for sure.

Angel's Review:
That's my question! I want some answers, that I just didn't get in this book. I'm assuming that there will be a continuation of the mystery that's going on in this book, at least I hope there is.
I was so intrigued by the mystery of this story, it was so well written with twists and turns you just didn't see coming. I could have never guessed who the actual killer was. I was so shocked! The plot was great, the book was well written, and the characters were fleshed out and excellent! They got along together well, and all of the other characters fit well into the overall story. The romance is definitely there between Codie and Jackie but it's not the overall component. The main feature is the mystery, who did it?
Overall a really great book and I hope there are more to come. I need to know what happens next!
