Demon House by Mia Monroe

Sometimes an author gets ahold of a plot bunny and sometimes a plot bunny gets ahold of an author.... and either way, sometimes that becomes Demon House by Mia Monroe.

From the blurb:

This house has BDE all over it. That is one big… Demon.

Bash:

One night in the most haunted house in the country could be our ticket to fame and fortune. As a group of paranormal investigators, this could be our big break. If the hauntings are real, Peaches, Chaos, and I are expecting to be terrified and catch all of it on video for our fledgling channel.

When the rumors prove to be true, and I come face to face with the resident demon, all bets are off. Turns out, demons have feelings too, and this one is possessive, touchy, and huh, kind of hot. Did I mention he has big… horns?

To make it through this night in one piece, I have to do what I can to keep him happy. Looks like our viewers are going to get way more than they signed up for, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do.

Now the only question is, when the sun comes up, will I want to walk away and will the demon let me.

Demon House is an MM paranormal romance featuring a horny demon with a taste for mortals, a paranormal investigator in over his head, a haunted house that lives up to the rumors, and enough heat to make Hades jealous. It is a standalone novella.

Heather's Review:

Demon House is a cute, steamy and sweet novella about a haunted house, the demon who haunts it and the mortal teaches him about consent...

Because it's a novella, there were a few places I wanted more - heck, Mia Monroe states this is a standalone novella, but one of the thing I'm craving is a HEA for Chaos and Peaches and maybe one or two of the ghosts who share the Demon house.... but in terms of the story itself, it has great flow in some places and feels a little rushed and choppy in others, but I definitely enjoyed getting to know Bash and Zeno and watching Bash figure out everything to be with his instalove connection.

I truly hope that this plot bunny takes over again, because I definitely want to see more from the side characters who share the Demon House.

Janet's Review:

Bash and a group of his friend decide to stay in one of the most haunted houses in Salem, the Demon House. They’re trying to get proof of the haunting on camera. While Peaches and Chaos are terrorized by the resident ghost, Bash is greeted and seduced by Zeno, a demon. Zeno explains how he can never leave the house. Bash decided to find a way to save the house when he finds out it’s going to be demolished.

Sweet and steamy! This was such a fun quick read! Overall, a fantastic read! Well written with great pacing that sucked my right into the story.

Jacquleen the Reading Queen's Review:

Okay so this novella was just way cuter than I expected. I mean the premise is a story about a demon who resides in a very haunted house. I didn't expect said demon to be an absolute sweetie pie when it came down to it. I mean yeah he can do the whole scary gig, but with Bash he was honestly the most adorable demon ever.

I loved how Bash's friends Peaches and Chaos let their friend know they thought he was nuts for sleeping with a demon, but either way they had his back. That's real friendship for you.

If you're looking for a book with a doting demon and plenty of heat, Demon House is definitely for you.
