Flaming by Daryl Banner

Tatted_book_freak calls Flaming "an intensely exciting adventure of unexpected events while finding one’s true self!"

From the blurb:

Zakary is an awkward and incorrigibly shy stagehand, hiding behind the scenes of the latest production at his local theater. No one seems to notice him — especially not the dreamy playwright Jonatho for whom he's harbored a crush.

But after replying to a "Never Have I Ever" online forum, he commits himself to a terrifying task that throws him straight into the spotlight:

Dyeing his hair FLAMING red.

After one unhinged dress rehearsal and an ill-timed storm, a timid, flame-haired Zakary finds himself facing his greatest, heart-pounding challenge yet.

Is he brave enough to make the first move and change his life?

Flaming is a fun and steamy stand-alone male/male novella with no angst and all the good feels.

Tatted_book_freak's Review:

An unexpected and engaging read by a new author for me! The way in which Daryl grasped my attention with the intensity of his storyline, along with his underlying message so expertly thrown in there, definitely captivated my intense need for an intellectual connection.

“ᵀʰᵉ ᵗʰᵉᵃᵗʳᵉ ʷᵒʳˡᵈ ⁱˢ ᶠᵘˡˡ ᵒᶠ ᶠᵃᵏᵉ ᵗʰⁱⁿᵍˢ ᵃⁿᵈ ᵈᵉᶜᵉᵖᵗⁱᵒⁿˢ …” ᴴᵉ ˢᵐⁱʳᵏˢ. “ˢᵒᵐᵉᵗʰⁱⁿᵍ ᵗᵉˡˡˢ ᵐᵉ ʸᵒᵘ’ʳᵉ ⁿᵒᵗ ᵒⁿᵉ ᵒᶠ ᵗʰᵉᵐ.”

Jonatho and Zakary’s chemistry ignited from the moment their eyes met. An intellectual connection with an intense amount of desire, continuously grew throughout the books entirety. Their playful banter and constant sexual innuendos, made for a super spicy sexual encounter!

“𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵, 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘪𝘵?”

The storyline was absolutely incredible! Finding oneself in a world filled with deception and betrayal, taking that leap of the unknown, is what makes this short yet incredibly intense novella so amazingly beautiful! Hats off to Daryl for this five star read!
