The second book of Hearts for Hire series was just as engaging as the first one! Raquel knows just how to grasp the readers attention with her writing style, continuing to engage her readers with every turn of the page. She continues with a fabulous character development, along with updates of previous characters. She paints a beautiful picture with her words, bringing her readers with her throughout the characters journey.

Cyan and Griffin have an undeniable, yet slow burn connection. The constant flirtatious banter slowly fizzled away for a while after coming out strong, but there was growing mentally and emotionally that was needed for their hea to occur. They experience joy and pain in such a short amount of time, but stick together through it all. And, their chemistry was felt through the pages, building up for an explosive ending!
I have to make note of the obvious chemistry between Riley and Reid in the first book and even more in this one, and I am so excited to finally read their story next!

I was blown away by Raquel's ability to draw me into this story so quickly. I am not usually a fan of the cocky boy, but Cyan's character was written so well I couldn't help but want to love him. Griffin was just adorable, and I loved his nickname!
I really appreciated that neither MC followed a stereotype normative, and were free to dress and act femininely as well as be dominant. The growth of both of these characters through the story was expertly written. I found myself laughing and crying with each of them.
For a first time/virgin story there were a lot of hot and heavy scenes precluding the deed. It seemed to take Cyan forever to get his act together, but I love the way they finally got their HEA. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in this series!

Griffin is an absolute sweetie and also a very determined young man. He certainly has a plan ... which doesn't go the way he wants, but when the heart gets involved, it never does !!
As for Cyan, we see another side to him and what drives him - he's such a fun character.
The interaction between them was adorable and funny, especially the notes and the karaoke.
There's a brutal honesty about the story which makes you wonder - what's most important in your life?
They both have decisions to make, face some home truths and hopefully all works out according to plan..... yeah right !! Entertaining story.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the second story after reading Lucky Match. Hopeless For You features Cyan and Griffin. Griffin is a sweet and somewhat innocent virgin. Cyan is an escort hired to take said virginity but instead they barter for something a little more. This was the perfect feel good, opposites attract, friends to lovers’ story!!
The story also features an amazing secondary supporting cast of characters and I cannot wait for more in the series!! Overall, a great feel-good story! Well written with nice pacing, highly recommend.

Hopeless for You is a typical boy crush college romance with the added twist of one of the guys being an escort... this book is a true slow build, slow burn and it's all Cyan... I absolutely love the depth and dynamic of both Cyan and Griffin - their strengths, their weaknesses, their insecurities and their confidences...
This book was definitely more New Adult focused than the first book, mostly because the characters were both still in college and both focused on starting their careers and their adult lives...
It was well paced, well written and I fell into this book and didn't look up until I was done... I do think you need to read the first book to get the back story for Hopeless for You to get everything out of it, but in a pinch you can read it standalone. I can't wait for book 3!

Hopeless for you is the first book I've read by Raquel Riley and it certainly won't be my last. She blew me away with her writing and the uniqueness of her background and characters. I think the Lucky Match was such a creative concept and something that I have yet to see in a book as far as escort services go.
This book tells the story of Griffin and Cyan. One desperately wants to lose their virginity and the other knows how to take it.
My review for this one is going to be short and sweet. I really enjoyed the connection that we as readers, got to feel between these two characters. Not to mention all of the playful banter between Cyan, Reid, Riley and Lucky. This book made me smile through a hard time in my life and I'm so happy I was able to read this. I can't wait for Reid's and Riley's story, they really intrigued me.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to smile and playful banter between great characters, and watching two characters, who at first glance might not end up together but do anyway.
