Heading to The Wen for the summer seems like a good idea, the only better thing I can think of is to get Ryke back in my bed and keep him there.

I don’t have to be anything except Lin’s summer good time, which is for the best.

Lin is gone back home after the summer and I’ll never leave The Wen. We will save some turtles and put to rest this old case that haunts him.

Yep, just have fun in the sun and warm each other’s beds.

This novella though loosely tied to the authors series does work as a standalone, in fact, Bear Valley only features at the very end.

It starts with some intense feelings. Lincoln feels guilt at Eddie Ray's sentence and it prompts him to visit his friend's beach resort, the scene where he reunites with Ryke.

What should be a summer fling quickly becomes more. There's plenty of heat between them and things move quickly.

I did wish they would communicate better but the novella was a page turner especially since the romance wasn't the complete focus of the novella.

The ending was sweet and gave a glimpse into the couples in Bear Valley.
