MORE THAN WORDS is the second installment of Imminent Dangers Road to Rocktober Fest series. This is a daddy little Rockstar and roadie romance.
From the blurb:
Tony couldn’t wait to leave home the second he turned eighteen.
His abusive father’s words played in his head on repeat, a constant mental beating. His best friend Bowie’s family had basically adopted him though every time he checked in at home it was back to the same, you’re worthless, berating’s…
What Wolf saw in Tony was more than words. Destined to be a lonely old man, all of that was thrown away the second Tony stepped into the audition room. Having not planned to try out, Tony was only there to goad Bowie into applying for the lead guitarist in the new band Masterson, the management company he worked for, was putting together. But the second Tony stepped on stage with Bowie and belted out a song, Wolf’s heart stopped. One might say quite literally because the new rhythm it fell into was unlike anything he’d ever felt.
Love at first sight? Wolf didn’t believe in that nonsense. Grounded, sensible, self-proclaimed bachelor—all of that he understood but this... this was something new.
The men of The Road To Rocktoberfest are back and this time they’re playing for keeps. Whether on the stage or at home they love just as hard as they play. So hop onto the tour buses and join us on the path to stardom!
Molly Otto's review:
Imminent Danger is back on their way to ROCKTOBER FEST! This time their singer Tony gets his daddy in Wolf. Tony grew up in a home where he was not loved, appreciated, or encouraged to be his true self. Joining Imminent Danger, has given him all these things now he wants a partner to love and cherish all of him, as his best friend Bowie found with Pressley. Wolf who swore to live his days solo, cannot help but fall for his Little Wren, the broken singer of the band he roadies for. The band is now on more balanced footing and this time are getting a bigger stage and better spot to show their stuff. This book starts with them becoming an established couple and goes through them learning how to be a couple on the road, as well as Tony learning to embrace his little side. I am the first person to say I am not a fan of rockstar romances, just not my thing, yet TL and Layla have proven me wrong, this story was so dang well written. I love the found family aspect of this band and all the members who make their tour run smoothly, you feel their love and bonding. Not to mention the commodity of the other bands of Rocktober Fest and how they all encourage their bands to grow and be the best band they can be.
Heather's Review:
I am so glad we're going back to Roctoberfest - it's my favourite time of the year! I really like Wolf and Tony as a couple and watching Tony learn to embrace his little side was lovely! I also love the way the whole Rocktober found family touches this story. I also truly appreciate that we see bands year over year have stories that intertwine. If you like a rock star little, you will definitely want to pick up More than Words.
