I really liked meeting both Frankie and Mac and watching their feelings blossom for each other. I also loved watching Mac's family interact with Frankie and show him what good family is.  This book deals with difficult topics and juxtaposes Mac's family with the completely dysfunctional one that Frankie deals with.  

The pacing is good, the story builds in an organic way and I appreciate that the miscommunication and issues appear early in the book when it makes sense to be wary of a new relationship - no third act break up...

I look forward to seeing where this series goes next!
