This has all the great elements of a friends to lovers story with a true bi-awakening... Finn is so confused by what he's feeling and how he's reacting... he's hero worshipped Selwin for years, but is there something more than a fanboy crush? This book builds their relationship in a lovely way that gives both men a little time to reflect on who they are and what they want... it's not without drama of course - it's the sports world...
While the hockey is secondary to the love story, you can tell Ava Olsen is Canadian and has hockey running through her veins. This book sets up the reader to want to see more NY Rush and builds a strong foundation of found family!
I can't wait to see where this series goes and what other teams we may see in future hockey expansion from Ava Olsen.
