This is a character-driven, slow-burn MM paranormal romance with enemies-to-lovers, vampire x vampire, forced proximity, and an arranged/forced marriage. It’s balanced with banter, awkward situations, and romcom moments. You can expect a morally gray vampire king with possessive tendencies, reluctant allies, a pain-in-the-butt ‘captive’, tension and pining before the payoff. There’s some action, intrigue, dark themes and light mystery, but the chaos is less unhinged this time around. Also features one extremely important duck.
Like Unholy Bad Decisions, this book can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA.

Second in series (Not Quite Dead), can be read as a standalone but best if read in order. Paranormal. Adversarial to lovers. Arranged/forced marriage. Forced proximity. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
Kidnapping the son of his enemy, Isidoro is intent on eliminating the threat, but Julian has other ideas. The only way Julian is going to survive is keep the secret of his father’s whereabouts and get Isidoro to bond with him which will ensure Julian’s safety.
This story has the collision of two strong-willed vampires and a search into murder and conspiracy that may threaten Isidoro as the new vampire king. There is quite a bit of internal monologuing by each character about their attraction but fighting the temptation for a large portion of the book which got tiresome. But I did enjoy their push and pull and the admiration each held for the other even though they both spent a lot of time focused on the others’ physical attributes. Overall, a good read, I would have liked more about being the king of vampires and all that entails, but still was entertained.
