ONLY TIME WILL TELL is a low angst childhood friends established relationship time travel romance.
From the blurb:
Two men, one mysterious pocket watch.
From that life-changing moment in the school yard, Alex and Charlie have been inseparable. Their bond was strong, and the natural transition of their relationship didn’t surprise anyone. But when Charlie’s father unexpectedly passed away, something inside him died too and shortly after, Alex’s worst fear comes to light.
A series of unexplained events and disappearances involving Charlie spiral out of control as does his behavior. When Alex tries to take the pocket watch Charlie has grown obsessed with, an altercation ensued, and something unexplained tears the men apart.
When Charlie awakens, Alex is gone. With the watch in hand, he depresses the button hoping it transports him to wherever Alex went. When he reaches him, it’s only to find that Alex doesn’t remember him nor anything of the life they had.
Will Alex be trapped in an era long ago or will he follow Charlie home?
This time travel romance was previously released but has been recovered and rewritten.
Molly Otto's review:
Alex & Charlie have been lifelong friends that turn into more as they grow and their love only deepens with time. When Charlie comes into procession of time piece that allows him to travel time and see what has happened to maybe solve why his father and mother were taken from him. What he soon realizes by traveling is time when he loses the present. His lifelong partner Alex feels something is off with Charlie, and confronting him, the two are forced to make decisions that will not only affect them, but the past. Overall, I enjoyed the concept of this story and really enjoyed Alex & Charlie's relationship and chemistry. You felt their connection full heartedly and rooted for them to find their happiness. Now Charlie's relationship with Alex’s family is one that you dream to have with your future in laws, they all just fully love each other and are a part of each other’s lives fully. A fun sweet romance that has you smiling from the getgo.
