Second in series (Be Mine), must be read in order. Established couple. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings. 

Two years after they first met, Gideon and Penn are living together, protecting each other and their family, as Gideon continues to use his criminal ties to secretly rule their town. But there’s a new power player in town trying to take over and Gideon and Penn are in his sights. 

It was nice to return to Gideon and Penn and their family of loyal family and friends and to see that they have found a nice domesticity. Even with the constant danger there is plenty of steam between Gideon and Penn (maybe a lot for some readers), but there is also the real sense of their commitment and strength in their relationship which really was the sweetest to read. This is a nice continuation of their story with action, spice, and found family, and it did leave me wondering if there were going to be more entries to this series which I would be very happy to read.
