If over the top roller coaster adventure is for you then (Un)Holy Bad Decisions will be a fun book to read. Tommy is on the run and finds an ex-mercenary to protect him. Falling for each other while on the run is an unexpected bonus!
From the blurb:
TOMMY
I might be a little crazy. I just tried to bribe a priest with a good time. In my defense, he’s not just a priest. He’s Nikolas Stavros—an ex-mercenary, supposedly dead, and the only man who can keep me alive.
I stole from the wrong people, and now I’m on the run. Niko is hot, dangerously capable, and very much not interested in helping a disaster like me. Too bad for him, because when I show up at his church, I’m not exactly giving him the option to say no.
NIKO
A decade of peace shatters the moment a sassy troublemaker lands on my church steps after midnight. I should send him away. The mercenary he’s looking for no longer exists. I’m a man of the cloth now.
But Tommy has zero survival instincts. Without me, he’s as good as dead. The people hunting him aren’t the forgiving type. Protecting him isn’t my job, but the brat is pure temptation. He makes it impossible to say no. And who knows, maybe the crazy mess he drags me into is the kind of out-of-this-world plot twist I’ve been secretly hoping for.
This is a low-angst, action & mystery-packed steamy MM romance with a fun & paranormal-flavored plot twist. It packs size difference (in all the ways that matter), a smartass troublemaker with a non-existent sense of self-preservation, a morally grey ex mercenary with a golden heart, first times, hurt/comfort, forced proximity, a mystery to keep you turning the pages and a gem with a secret that might just change the rules of the world.
SNik's review:
First in series (Not Quite Dead). Paranormal. Age gap. Instalove. Forced proximity. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.

Nikolas is a former mercenary that has been in hiding as a priest for ten years when a young chaos gremlin tempts him and then has them running for their lives. Tommy witnessed something terrible and then stole something important and now he needs protection, so he finds the one man that might help him survive.
Look, you definitely need to suspend disbelief for this story to work for you, and not because it has supernatural stuff. There is plenty of over-the-top adventure, and things that don’t make sense, and a few story flaws that happen quickly and can be overlooked if you’re willing. I did enjoy Niko and Tommy’s quick falling for each other and immediate determination that they were it for each other, and their steamy times were entertaining for sure. It felt like this ended on a mild cliffhanger even though the next book is about a different couple, but there is a ton more world building to explore as we only get a glimpse with Niko and Tommy.
