Two Wild Hearts (Alphas of the Western Provinces Book 4) by Kelex

The wait for this book was extremely worth it!!!

From the blurb:

The second Emerson Walker laid eyes on Dashiell Keller, he nearly lost control—in front of his twin brother, no less. Their explosive reaction to one another turns his life into a house of cards. After a lifetime spent carefully concealing who he really is, Emerson doesn’t need someone shattering the protections he’s put in place.

Alphas aren’t supposed to fall for other alphas.

Acting on their attraction could land them both behind bars. Distance is the only way to survive, but he has to know—how could another alpha cause what he’d felt?

When Emerson later shows up uninvited to Dash’s office to get those answers, they come even closer to crossing the line. Somehow, Dash finds the strength to demand Emerson leave—adding that he’s never to return.

No matter their attraction, they can’t tempt mutual destruction.

Months pass and Dash wishes he’d never made that demand. Never’s a really long time—especially when he can’t stop thinking about the dashing firefighter who makes him burn like no other.

When the pair come face-to-face in an illegal, underground nightclub, sparks fly once more and the desire they feel refuses to be denied. By the end of the night, they wind up in one another’s arms, but can they turn one night into a happy ending in a world where being together is illegal?

Angel's review:

Ya'll, I have been waiting for the next book in this series for a while and that wait was soooo worth it!!!

In Two Wild Hearts our MC's have a bit of a grumpy/grumpy vibe going on but they have every reason to be grumpy when those they are attracted to could end them up in jail, or worse. These two were explosive and dynamic and also had a push and pull that I loved! They didn't get together right away, there was so much tension between these two and even though in the beginning they didn't know each other or knew what the pull meant, they still respected each other and kept their boundaries...

Until Dash's new investigation lands him in the middle of an outlawed club during a raid with no escape... (Cue Emerson saving the day!)

I really enjoyed reading this book, I thought the characters were fantastic and I adored seeing past characters make appearances throughout this story. I also enjoyed the investigations that were described throughout the story, I loved having all those little details and to have been taken on a journey as Dash tried to solve the massive case he was working on.

I'm not sure if there are more books planned for this universe but I would be very happy if there were some more! I just think this world is so unique and the twist on Alphas/Betas/Omegas/and now hybrids, is really interesting!!

Overall, a really fantastic book!!
