A Little Christmas 3: Ralphie by T.L. Travis; Narrated by Richard Eckman

A LITTLE FOR CHRISTMAS RALPHIE is a sweet low angst daddy little holiday romance.

From the blurb:

Ralphie Davis
, was never man enough for his father or worth his mother’s attention. His life began once he moved from his parents’ home and into his sister’s. Tess, his older sister, was the only one to ever give him the time of day. He really never fit in anywhere and with no path to follow, no outlet, or really anything he enjoyed, he was well and truly lost. Then one day, his sister took him to work with her and introduced him to a whole new world full of endless possibilities.

Had he finally found where he belonged?

Daddy Marcel Allard hadn’t been a daddy in ages. Consumed by grief after the loss of his husband and boy, when a cancer diagnosis quickly swept him away. He’d resigned himself to never put his heart on the line again. Nor step foot into the club they’d frequented until Miss Tess called and nearly begged him to help her pull off her first event, A Little’s Valentine’s party.

Reluctantly—and after much begging on her part—Marcel accepted and left the house after a stern warning to himself, you are there to work and nothing more. That all changed when he saw him. The cute little in the cookie monster pj’s looking lost until Jacob and Orion came to his rescue.

Briefly…

The tears are what drew Marcel to cradle the lost little in his arms, but those big, blue, tear-filled eyes are what would awaken his heart and breathe new life into his lonely old soul.

This book is part of A Little Christmas: Season Three multi-author series. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone where every little is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all?

Molly Otto's review:

Richard Eckman does a great job in distinguishing the entire cast from themselves. Ralphie is a sweet little and Daddy Marcel has a protective tone to his voice. With a smooth pace throughout keeps on track never losing whose pov you are in.

Ralphie keeps falling for imposter daddies and thanks to his big sis and a mommy Tessie he deletes those mean apps. DADDY Marcel hasn't taken part in the kink scene since the passing of his husband Elion. Ralphie & Marcel shared a beautiful night but that scared the broken daddy and he decides to step back. Months later both men are still single and their friends decide to set things back to the way it should be.

I appreciated this story had heavier themes and yet they were handled with a gentle spirit and joy. Ralphie not only understands but encourages stories of Elion and to celebrate that love cause just because someone had doesn't mean their love is gone. A beautifully done Christmas read and was a pleasure to see Jacob, Orion and their daddies being so happy and just living their best lives.
