Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost (Mafia Bound Book 5) by K.M. Neuhold

RELENTLESSLY VENGEFUL GHOST is the latest in KM Neuholds MAFIA BOUND mafia romance series. A cinnamon roll mafioso meets the Dom of his dreams when he catches a thief (and revenge killer).

From the blurb:

I didn’t know the house I broke into belonged to a mafioso, and now my revenge arc is a lot more complicated.

7 years ago, I died. Nameless, forgotten, left in a ditch after an overdose. I don’t know who saved me or why. God? Satan? A good Samaritan whose name I'll never know? It doesn't really matter.

I don’t know who I used to be. My name, my past, they were buried. But somehow, I'm still here.

I'm not the only one the Sleepless Reapers have used and abused, but I will be the last, if I have anything to say about it.

I don’t need the attention of a mafioso. Even if Alessio is fun to play with, and even more fun to make beg. But I don’t have time for his devotion or his pretty, breathless pleas.

I have a score to settle, and I can't rest until every last Sleepless Reaper is six feet under.

Alessio makes me feel something other than hatred for the first time that I can remember. He makes me hope one day I might be more than a ghost driven by vengeance. He can’t pull me out of the darkness, but maybe we can keep each other company in the shadows until all our demons are exorcized.

Molly Otto's review:

Ghost is taking out the Sleepless Reapers one body at a time to take back what he lost seven years ago. He doesn't remember a thing, no longer has an identity, so B & E seems to be his best choice to make ends meet. Alessio has been a part of the Moretti families inner circle for years and cannot help but be drawn to mystery of the Ghost haunting the Sleepless Reapers. When Ghost breaks into Alessio's penthouse unknowingly whose it was and they cannot help but get out of each other's orbits. The chemistry is topnotch as per usual with KM Neuhold and you cannot wait to see how these two make things work out. Mix in Alessio's need to help his Spettro while not angering Lorenzo or tipping off the Feds was a fun mix to see how everything ending playing out. Now let's discuss the MAFIA WIVES and how epic is this group of DOM twinks who own their mafiasos! Their interactions are oddly fierce and adorable all at the same time. Seeing Ghost (Spettro) find his vengeance and learning his past was bloody brilliant! I fine piece of writing for sure. The more we see of Lorenzo the more I need to know what he is up to, so looking forward to the last installment of this series to have the mystery finally solved.

SNik's review:

Fifth in series (Mafia Bound), best if read in order. Light BDSM. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.

A burglar intent on stealing stuff to pawn and the mafia family member he accidentally targets. Ghost doesn’t remember much of his past but he’s spent the last few years seeking revenge on the local motorcycle club that killed him. Meeting Alessio and having feelings for him was not planned, but Ghost can’t seem to let him go, and Alessio is just as equally obsessed.

These two have immediate chemistry and it’s easy to envision them having a long future together because whatever that looks like they will make it work. Since Ghost has amnesia we don’t get much about his past, but Alessio accepts every bit of Ghost as he is now. I enjoyed the bad guys getting taken care of and while the story had violence it wasn’t super dark. Another entertaining read in this series, all of the characters have been interesting with stories that have an underlying sweetness. Fans of cinnamon roll mafia guys will appreciate this series.
