Always Enough (Guardian Hall Book 3) by RJ Scott

A struggling newly single dad finds help at a veterans assistance home, and catches the caring eye of the billionaire that helps fund the charity.

From the blurb:

A baby in his arms. A safe place to land. And the man who shows up when everything is on the line.

Corporal Morgan Armitage arrives at Guardian Hall in the middle of the night with his daughter. He’s a veteran carrying grief, trauma, and now a newborn, and he’s terrified he’ll fail her. Guardian Hall gives him space to breathe, to heal, and to learn how to be a father when every instinct tells him he’s one mistake away from losing everything.

Cole Braxton is used to solving problems from a distance. Then Morgan and his baby are suddenly part of his world—and distance isn’t an option. Drawn to a man who will do anything to protect his child, Cole finds himself wanting to be the one Morgan turns to.

As Morgan learns how to care for Gabbi—and trust the people around him—something fragile begins to grow between him and Cole. What Morgan doesn’t expect is to be seen: not as broken, not as a burden, but as a man who is already enough. As he starts to find his place with Gabbi, Morgan has to trust that what he’s building with Cole won’t disappear when he needs it most.

Always Enough is a hurt/comfort, single dad romance featuring a veteran, a protective millionaire, found family, and gentle caregiving—where safety isn’t a weakness, and being enough is everything.

SNik's review:

Third in series (Guardian Hall), can be read as a standalone but might be more fun if read in order. Instalove. Hurt/comfort. Single dad. Found family. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.

Morgan is suddenly a single dad with no support system and scared for his and his daughters safety he runs to Guardian Hall for help. When Cole runs into Morgan he sees someone that he can help beyond just funding Guardian Hall, but falling for Morgan and his daughter was not expected.

This story is full of healing and support as Morgan accepts help from the people around him and the man that he quickly falls in love with. I do wish there was more time spent with Cole and Morgan building their relationship, but I enjoyed the sweet times they spent with Gabbi Morgan’s daughter and how hard Cole tries to be there for Morgan. I’m glad there was no outside angst and the relationship was straight forward and grew without obstacles as the couple worked towards their HEA. A good addition to this series.

Heather's Review:

I've been enjoying this series immensely and loved getting to know Cole, Morgan and Gabbi as well as revisiting the Guardian Hall crew.  This story hit differently than the first two, because I honestly didn't see the trauma and angst from the previous two books.  I loved watching Cole fall in love with both Morgan and Gabbi, and Morgan with Cole, but I wanted more angst and struggle - it felt like once Morgan was over the initial crisis of giving Gabbi a place to be safe, he went through required motions rather than actually healing from past trauma.  Don't get me wrong, I loved the love story and rooted for these guys from the beginning, it was just a small niggle that kept me from falling deeply in love with this book as a Guardian Hall story.
