Heart2Heart: A Charity Anthology, Volume 8 by Various authors

A fantastic collection of stories with a wonderful concept full of familiar authors and new-to-me authors, raising money for charities.

From the blurb:

Once upon a time, a bunch of authors wondered… could Heart2Heart, the dating and community app trusted by queer singles around the world, help find the perfect temporary Plus One?

Whether it’s to protect your ‘assets’ at a fundraising gala, attend an ex’s wedding, share a tantric yoga class, walk the dog, or stand by your side at a funeral, sometimes you just need the right person at the right time, and H2H is here to help make it happen.

As always, all proceeds from this anthology will benefit LGBTQ+ charities to ensure that love in all its incarnations will be celebrated and protected every single day of the year!

Angel's review:

I'm enamored with the concept behind the Heart 2 Heart anthologies, I like the idea of an LGBTQIA+ friendly app existing where you can use it for a hookup or a relationship, but you can also use it for various tasks as well. I wish an app like that existed cause I'm sure people would use it, me included! Could you imagine needing or wanting a plus one for some event or just to watch a movie with and then being able to search for someone on an app? That'd be cool!

I want to say that I think all of these stories are lovely but the one that stood out to me the most was Scoring a Sweet Thing by Jodi Oliver. Here's my little review of that particular story:

Bailey and Remi's story is my favorite, they are so cute together and their story is full of sweetness, and lots of marshmallows! They are such a wonderful pair, they help each other out and show up in all the ways that matter, both big and small. I'm really ecstatic that Bailey got his own story, when he was mentioned as a side character in an earlier story I was so curious about him and what exactly was going on between him and a certain hockey player. And now I know! Such a cute and sweet story. Here's my favorite quote;

""He's the complete opposite of me. I'm the dark storm cloud, grumpy and filled with rain, whereas he's the high sun at noon, shining his intense sunlight on everyone around him.""

All in all, this was yet another wonderful volume of this amazing anthology! I'm looking for many more volumes to come!
