Hashtag Holidate by Lucy Lennox

What do you get when a city boy visits a small town that's full of nosy residents who mean well, insanely cold weather, holiday cheer, and a grumpy photographer? You get a holiday romance story that'll make you smile and cheer for #Maddrian!

From the blurb:

I came to Legacy, Montana, to sell a fantasy—twelve Insta-ready #Holidates of Christmas. One career-making brand deal. Zero drama.

Then my videographer bailed, and in walked Maddox Sullivan.

Grumpy. Gorgeous. Growly. A mountain man with zero chill and even less tolerance for influencers like me. He agrees to film my content—off-camera only—but when my first date cancels, guess who ends up in front of the lens?

Cue the fireworks.

Our chemistry is instant. My followers are obsessed. #TeamMaddrian starts trending. Suddenly, all my dates are mysteriously dropping out, and Maddox is reluctantly starring in every single holidate—sleigh rides, snowball fights, cocoa by the fire, kisses under the mistletoe.

And I… I’m starting to forget this was ever supposed to be pretend.

Because every time Maddox looks at me, I feel something real. Something lasting. Something terrifying.

I came here for curated content. Now I’m dreaming of a life I never thought I wanted—with a man I never saw coming.

But am I falling for the picture-perfect holiday fantasy? Or could this be the start of my real-life happily ever after?

Angel's review:

""“Legacy isn’t just where I want to be, Maddox. It’s who I want to be. The best version of myself. The version that belongs to someone and
somewhere.”
“To me,” he said fiercely. “You belong to me.”

There is a movie on Netflix called Holidate, and when I read the blurb for this book I immediately knew I HAD to read this because it sounded just like that movie. (Which I love.)

This story is wholesome and full of holiday cheer, and small town goodness that'll warm your soul. The townsfolk of Legacy are a bit nosy and quick to assume, but they really do mean well and throughout the course of the story we get to see how much they truly care about their residential Grump and their new city transplant!

I honestly got so much enjoyment from reading this bool, I loved reading about all the different holiday festivities that Maddox and Adrian were capturing and showcasing. It made me want to go out and do those things this holiday season and really inspired me to get into the Christmas Spirit.

Aside from the writing being great, because it WAS spectacular! The characters themselves were also really terrific, they each had their own individual personalities, as well as having an indepth backstory and their own distinct voices. You could very easily tell them apart and their dialogue was to die for! I loved their banter, the teasing, flirting, the snarky grumpiness that came up quite often in their conversations, all of that made this a really fun and engaging story to read.

I also need to give a shout out to all the side characters that truly made this story what it is. All of them added so much to the plot, they weren't just a mere mention, they actually contributed to the overall story. Every made that backed out of the dates, every town member who was plotting and scheming, Maddox's sister, all of them really made this story feel so wholesome and gave it that feel good holiday romance quality.

“You deserve someone who’ll fight for you instead of running away and putting up walls to protect himself. Someone who’ll choose you publicly, loudly, without hesitation. And I will pick you every damn time. I promise you.”
