A LITTLE CHRISTMAS 4: JAMIE is a part of this years A Little CHRISTMAS combined author series.
From the blurb:
Abandoned in the Snow
Twenty-one-year-old Jamie is in for a rude awakening. What starts as a romantic Christmas getaway to Big Bear, California with his boyfriend, Daddy Tom, quickly devolves into a snow-covered nightmare. They've driven all the way from Brentwood, and Daddy Tom even promised Jamie a new jacket from a small boutique. But when Daddy Tom disappears after making a phone call, Jamie is left stranded, his phone dead and his pockets empty.
As the snowstorm rages, Jamie waits, the chill seeping into his bones, until the store lights finally dim. Alone and without a jacket, he stumbles into the biting wind, eventually collapsing by the side of the road, tears freezing on his cheeks. Just as hope dwindles, a red truck pulls up, and a mysterious stranger offers a lifeline, driving Jamie to his cabin. But who is this man, and what will become of Jamie in the desolate, snow-covered mountains?
This book is part of A Little Christmas: Season Four multi-author series. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone where every little is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all?
Molly Otto's review:
Jamie on his way to Big Bear for a fun week with his daddy finds himself alone on the side of the road, to be found by Spencer. Spencer is back in California to find a boy and return to his ranch in Montana. When he finds Jamie, he wants to show this boy what is to have a Daddy who actually cares. Loved the dynamics with Nathan & his boy Alfie were a beautiful balance to the story showing them what is like to be a strong couple amongst the chaos. Their friendship helped pave for Jamie & Spencer to have an actual chance at a relationship, something tells me if they were left on their own miscommunications ultimately would have occurred, versus what did happen where they talked and worked through any of the issues that may have arose. I adored seeing both Jamie & Spencer being able to confront their pasts, but at the same time it started to feel like too much put into a shorter story. It didn't take away from continuing with the story, just felt some parts were unnecessary filler to me. Overall an enjoyable read.
