Full Body Hit: Parts 1 & 2 (Alpha Omega Hockey Book 6) by Marina Vivancos

A young rookie omega that is forced to hide his scent and an Alpha in his last year of hockey that is unkind when he can't judge the honesty of scent. But an online connection that builds an incredible closeness and increasing feelings between two anonymous men that soon have to reconcile their real life identities and trust that the feelings were true.

From the blurb:

A scentless Omega. A grumpy hockey legend. An anonymous hookup app that turns everything upside down.

Chase Spalding finally has his shot at the NHL—and a place on the New Orleans Spirits, the team his longtime idol, Auston Mazdaki, plays for. As a scentless Omega, Chase is used to hiding in plain sight, wearing a synthetic profile and keeping his head down. But under the confidence is a boy who aches to be seen, touched, and claimed.

Auston is a veteran in every sense: older, jaded, and done pretending he wants more from the game—or anyone. He’s not interested in rookies, least of all one with a blank scent and too many secrets.

But when two lonely men connect on an anonymous hookup app, they find what they didn’t know they were missing. In the safety of digital walls, Aunix and Charlie explore kink, power, and vulnerability: Daddy/boy dynamics, praise, obedience, and the kind of care neither thought they deserved.

Anonymous identities. Age gap. Grumpy/Daddy Alpha x rookie Omega. Praise, power exchange, and all the tenderness kink can hold.

When the truth comes out, love is the hardest—and most rewarding—game they’ll ever play.

This is a duet and Part 2 ends in a HEA.

SNik's Part 1 review:

First in duet and part of series (Alpha Omega Hockey), can be read as a standalone, but might be better if familiar with the omegaverse in the series. Alpha/omega. Age gap. Teammates to lovers. Anonymous dating app. Daddy/boy. Light BDSM. Hurt/comfort. Dual POV.

Chase is a rookie in professional hockey that has his scent locked down as a medical necessity, and he is trying to prove himself to his new team and his one time idol and older teammate Auston. Knowing this is his last year playing hockey, Auston is bitter and unhappy until he meets someone on a dating app that seems to fulfill all his desires.

This story centers on the anonymous relationship that builds between Auston and Chase, unaware of their real identities they actually share a deep connection as they explore intimacy and kink together (very high steam). In their daily life Auston is not kind to Chase, he distrusts anyone that has no scent and it’s so opposite of how he acts with Chase online that it was hard as a reader to reconcile at times. I enjoyed the times where the care and generosity that Auston shows to Chase was pure cinnamon roll Alpha, and that Chase is a likable character that deserves the attention and praise. The yearning is top tier. Thank goodness part 1 and 2 are being released at the same time.

SNik's Part 2 review:

Second in duet and part of series (Alpha Omega Hockey), must be read in order. Alpha/omega. Age gap. Teammates to lovers. Anonymous dating app. Daddy/boy. Light BDSM. Hurt/comfort. Dual POV.

Auston finds out that Chase has been his online omega all along and is determined to try and win over Chase in real life before the truth comes out and he loses Chase forever. But once Chase finds out Auston has been his Daddy all along there is a strain between trusting the man he knows and the teammate that has always made him feel lesser.

I really appreciated that Auston attempts to be better, to make amends and insists on going slowly to allow Chase time to process everything. Also, Chase may be younger but he knows his mind, and so his eventual forgiveness and acceptance of the importance of their connection was understandable. There is no lack of steam from this or part 1 in typical Vivancos fashion which was really entertaining. The story slowed at times with the hockey and Auston’s struggles with his career ending, but overall I really enjoyed this conclusion.
