They had an unforgettable scorching hot hookup but now they are on opposites sides of the negotiation table. Can a union leader and soon to be CEO find a middle ground, or is both their personal and professional relationships doomed?
From the Negotiation Tactics blurb:
JOSH
My first case as the new head of a labor union just had to be the hotel empire, Devon Holidays. And the worst part? The man I hooked up with a month ago is the CEO-to-be.
And as if that and the explosive sex we had isn’t enough, the union’s demands are turned down because of him. Ugh.
But I’m not one to give up, so when an opportunity to attend a fancy Gala pops up, I grab it with both hands. My plan is simple—use any means necessary to find dirt on Alistair Devon and force him to pressure his empire into accepting the union’s terms.
The only problem? I can’t find anything of use, and that charming asshole won’t hear me out unless I agree to go out for lunch with him.
ALISTAIR
Hooking up with the union rep trying to take down your company sucks. I had no idea who the sassy brat was when I decided he was mine for the night, but mistakes happen. I just need to get over him.
Except that I can’t. He’s stubborn and righteous, ready to kick my ass despite who I am. He challenges me at every turn and even ambushes me at my succession event.
Color me impressed.
He’s trouble. I shouldn’t get involved with him any further, but it’s impossible to resist the way he makes me want to put him in his place. So I decide to play with him for a bit, just until I get bored. There’s just one issue with that—I didn’t expect to enjoy Josh’s company as much as his body.
Negotiation Tactics is an MM enemies-to-lovers romance about a stubborn Union Rep and the billionaire CEO he must take down. It features two men who can’t stop thinking about each other after an explosive hookup, high steam, light d/s, some spanking fun, dirty talking, a brat, a pinch of obsessiveness, underhanded tactics, and a snake birthday party. HEA guaranteed.
SNik's review:
First in series (Billionaire Temptations). Adversarial to lovers. Light BDSM. Dual POV.
Newly appointed head of the local workers union, Josh has his first big case but finds the soon to be CEO of Devon Holidays hotel group was his super hot hookup from a month ago. Alistair is trying to be everything his father expects, and he will be soon taking over the family business, so denying the union any concessions is just part of the job until Josh walks in and Alistair can’t deny he’s obsessed.
This story had a good amount of back and forth between Alistair and Josh, and I appreciated that there wasn’t really a power imbalance and they both stuck to their guns until a real compromise could be made. The amount of attraction they felt and compatibility slowly wore them down but trust took a long time due to the circumstances of their jobs. Both men got to grow a little and understand each other’s family expectations, and I was glad they spent time getting to know each other on top of their steamy chemistry together.
