Enter into a world full of magic, glamour, fated mates, and a mystery surrounding the new undiscovered world. Portal magic plus mates plus a mystery equals this book. It's sweet and mysterious and a bit steamy.
From the blurb:
Juno:
My home world is losing its magic and I’m one of the few lucky ones to travel through portals, searching for another world we can relocate to if needed. When we find a world that’s a perfect match, the only difference is that theirs holds no magic. I travel through with my closest friends and find more than I ever planned for.
My mate.
Attraction and all other feelings that were once alien to me rush through my body, all because of my mate, but before I can even greet him properly, he turns around and runs for his life.
Now I’m left standing in the hallway, wondering what I’ve done wrong.
I know I’ll win him over though. We’re meant to be.
And somehow, I know he’s the key to saving my world. And me.
Remi:
I thought I knew who I was, but when my eyes connect with his everything changes. Attraction, lust, want, butterflies—he makes me feel it all. I thought I was ace, something my girlfriend initially accepted but clearly wasn’t happy with in the end. But this stranger proves just how little I know about myself.
I know I shouldn’t have run, but how else was I supposed to stop myself from jumping him on sight? What happens next, I don’t know but the mysterious stranger consumes my every thought.
Portal Matchmaking is an MM fantasy romance with fated mates and magic. A college setting with portals and so many butterflies and swoon worthy moments await, so get ready! HEA guaranteed.
Thera Rhodes review:
This book was super cute. This is the first book I've read by this author and I can confidently say I'll read more. Juno and Remi captured my heart from the first pages. Juno just wanted his mate and Remi was just so overwhelmed but he took everything in stride. I loved how he just believed everything from go.
I can't wait for the next book in the series and then the one after that lol this book made me want so much more of this world.
Angel's review:
This is the first story I've ever read by Regitse as they are a new-to-me author, and I thought this was a great introduction to their writing.
Juno lives in a world that used to be full of magic and life, but when his world starts dying and losing its magic his people scramble to find another world similar to theirs. He's always had a yearning to travel somewhere else, a pull towards something, so when the portal gets built he's one of the first to volunteer. And in that new world he entered into, he discovers exactly why he's been feeling a pull.
Now Remi on the other hand has never felt like he belongs anywhere. He may be in a relationship with his girlfriend just their relationship has never felt right to him. He thought he was broken... Until he meets Juno, and his eyes are open to not only a new world full of magic, but also one with his mate that's full of love too.
I do feel as though his relationship with Remi felt a bit rushed to me.. It felt a bit disjointed and forced, I think if this would've been longer then that would've given more time to fully build their relationship and give it depth too.
I did enjoy the magic aspect of this story though, I thought the beginning where Juno and his friends were exploring the new world was written in a really interesting way. I liked being able to read Juno's viewpoint as he discovered new things about the world he just entered into.
All in all a decent story full of magic and mates!
