10 Ways to Accidentally Fall in Love by Emmy Sanders

Be prepared to explain why your laughing a lot reading this story. Brad is looking for another gym bro and hits up Joey, and once Joey realizes that Brad wasn't hitting on him they agree to be friends even though he is beyond attracted to Brad. As his self-declared wingman Brad wants the best for Joey, but what does it mean if he starts getting jealous and wants Joey and his fabulous abs all to himself?

Wingman 101: Make him fall head over heels in love.

Brad
What’s a straight guy to do when he accidentally goes on a date with his brand new gym-bro? Offer to be the best wingman ever, of course! It’s foolproof.

Joey needs a man? I’ll find him one.

He wants someone who looks, well, kind of like me? No problem!

Not into watersports? I’ve got him covered.

The issue is, going on all these dates with Joey makes me realize I want more of his time to be spent with me. I like the guy. And his smile. And the way he makes me feel like anything is possible.

Except… I can’t possibly be who Joey needs. He wants his forever person. His great big love.

And no matter how perfect the dude’s abs are or how skilled he is as a cuddle-bro, the two of us will never be more than friends. Because I’m straight.

Right?

10 Ways to Accidentally Fall in Love is a lighthearted romantic comedy with disastrous dates, more innuendo than is probably healthy, an oblivious sweetheart, the gym-dude who falls for him swiftly, and a HEA loaded with firsts. It has characters who originally appeared in Himbo (Elite 8 Studios Book 4) but is set as a standalone.

SNik's review:

Standalone, but set within the author’s Elite 8 Studios universe. Friends to lovers. Slow burn. Found family. Dual POV.

Construction worker Joey is new in town and thinks the local gym bro is hitting on him, but video game programmer Brad is just looking for another workout buddy. Brad decides to become Joey’s wingman instead, but he’s not really sure why he is becoming obsessed with his new friend's yummy physique and wants to spend all his free time with him.

This story was such a surprise in a good way as I don’t think I have ever read such an over the top oblivious golden retriever character like Brad, and Joey is an equally likable character as well. Brad is so earnest with no filter and a deep amount of love to give, and Joey appreciates everything about Brad and accepts that just to have a moment with him is worth any future heartbreak. This was an incredibly entertaining read, with supportive secondary characters (and cameos), and two men that have honest communication, strong feelings, and no problem embracing the happiness they have found.

Reed Kaye's review:

This story is not safe unless you want to explain why you're laughing out loud on and on.

Right from the beginning I could not help but laugh at Bradley. He just doesn’t feel the right one will ever come along. He is straight and belongs to a group of men who are not and even though he has had chances with a number of women and has come to face a number of extra attractive men no one is the “one”.

Then he makes a list to get to know himself hopefully bringing him in touch with knowing what he really wants.

He goes to his gym to do his usual workout where he meets Joey.

Joey has moved to be closer to his family and while in the gym he meets Bradley. It is an instant attraction for him. Joey feels Bradley’s little quirks just make him more attractive. Only problem is Bradley is straight so Joey settles on becoming friends.

There is so much fun to this story. I can’t imagine where the author drew all the things that come from Bradley’s mouth. Both characters are so lovable. Bradley’s interaction with Joey’s mom is heartwarming.

I really enjoyed some of the characters from Elite being included in the story. This author just keeps coming up with stories that keep me anxious to see what can possibly be the next story.

Rogue's review:

- bi-awakening
- romantic comedy
- friends to lovers

I have a list of authors I cannot read in public, as they make me laugh out loud and get weird looks. It seems I have to add Emmy Sanders to that list. This is one of the funniest books I've read in a looong time and I absolutely loved it. If ever there were a character that can be described as pure sunshine on the page, then it's Brad. He's hilariously naive at times, unaware of the things he says and does but he's so absolutely good and pure and so kind hearted, with no artifice or bad intention, he's just guileless down to his very bones, and absolutely sees the best in everyone.

This book is just full of so much joy, Joey and Brad are just perfect together. There are so many double entendres, right from the first page all the way through and I was here for it. I totally fell for Brad and Joey and their story. Especially when you find out more about Brad and his upbringing, it makes how he is even more wonderful. The surrounding cast of characters are great too, I'm new to this author so I didn't know them but liked them immediately, especially Brad's best friend Jason and his partner Cas.

I loved this whole thing, it brightened a very dull February and it's going straight to my comfort re-read list.

This book was utterly ADORABLE. There is no other word for it. Joey and Brad's love story was just an all-around, feel-good romantic comedy. Those two warmed my heart. They also had me laughing in hysterics, Brad in particular. Damn, I love a good himbo. And Brad is the sunniest and sweetest himbo ever. Bless him and his date ideas.

Poor Joey. I don't know how he survived all Brad's innocent innuendos with an instant connection like theirs. I don't blame the man for not realizing Brad was "straight" and assuming the two of them were out on a date. Hell, I even felt secondhand embarrassment for Joey at some points. Not for Brad though. That man doesn't have a shameful bone in his body, and I loved him for it. He was unapologetically himself at all times and he was a breath of fresh air for Joey, not to mention an amazingly supportive friend, even if that wasn't all Joey wanted from him.

"𝙸'πš•πš• πš—πšŽπšŸπšŽπš› πšπšŠπš”πšŽ πš–πš˜πš›πšŽ πšπš‘πšŠπš— 𝚒𝚘𝚞 πš πšŠπš—πš 𝚝𝚘 πšπš’πšŸπšŽ πš–πšŽ. π™±πšžπš 𝙸'𝚍 πšπšŠπš”πšŽ πšŽπšŸπšŽπš›πš’πšπš‘πš’πš—πš πš’πš 𝚒𝚘𝚞 πš•πšŽπš πš–πšŽ."

I really enjoyed how Brad never had some "big gay freakout". He was totally okay with being into dudes. His relationship with Joey progressed from their close bond of friendship, to physical intimacy, to love. It was just that simple and beautiful. I never had any doubts about them and neither did ANY person who saw them together. This a story of two men who are perfect for one another that will have you reading with a smile on your face from start to finish.

Heather's Review:

Oblivious guys so much joy, so much sweetness!  I absolutely loved Brad's unwitting comedy and innocently spoken innuendos.   Joey even assumes that their first outing together is a date... heck, I would have too...

Brad is a sweet, oblivious himbo, and what I love is that when his world shifts, he stays just as sweet and maybe just a little less innocent... and Joey is along, somewhat patiently for the ride!

This was just a feel good, laugh out loud adorable read and well worth adding to your tbr if you adore the chance to watch a straight bro realize he's so much more and make a connection with a wonderful man who adores everything about him.
