Divine Heart (Rebel Kings MC Book 8) by Garrett Leigh

Book 8 in the Rebel Kings MC series, Divine Heart is Viktor and Ranger's story. Lots of hurt/comfort and healing vibes, and two men finding each other, and peace.

From the blurb:

The bestselling Rebel Kings MC series returns with Ranger and Viktor’s long awaited love story. Expect: a damaged Russian mobster and a grouchy nomad. Hurt comfort, second chances, forced proximity. Love ain’t true if it doesn’t hurt.

Viktor

The message from my brother lies bold and bright on the screen.

This will be it.

Four words that could mean the end or the beginning. And for many years, as long as my sister was safe, I haven't much cared which. But as my gaze falls on the woven thread knotted at my wrist and the rough diamond of a man sleeping beside me, I realise everything has changed.

Ranger.

I want more than a hot summer with him. A handful of stolen nights. I don’t deserve him—no one does. But true to the fear I’ve carried since I met him, I can’t give him up.

We survive together, or we die.

And if we live?

I will love his divine heart forever.

Divine Heart is the eighth book in the Rebel Kings MC series. A sizzling MM love story with all the trigger warnings you’d expect from a gripping biker romance.

Rogue's review:

- series
- bikers
- gangs

This is the 8th in the Rebel Kings MC series, and while you could enjoy it as a standalone, it is best read in order as lots of backstory on Viktor in particular happens in the preceding books in the series, and there are lots of recurring characters in this one too. This is Ranger and Viktor's story, and both have featured previously in other books in the series. Ranger is a nomad, associated with the Rebel Kings but never settling in one place. Viktor works for the same russian family that Alexei did, and the two have a history together. This is very much just Ranger and Viktor though. Viktor is broken after the events of previous books and has retreated home to heal. Ranger is recruited by Viktor's brother to help him and this brings the two together.

This has a very different feel to the other Kings stories, I think perhaps because it's a different setting and it works for these two. Their time together is healing for both and their connection is palpable and it's wonderful to witness them coming together and growing closer with their shared love of music ever present. The final battle mostly happens off the page but it's a no less satisfying outcome for that. I unashamedly love this series, and I loved this book too. There can never be enough Rebel Kings for me.
