Teaser Tuesday: Camp Jackwood by Finn Dixon

Our first #TeaserTuesday this week is Camp Jackwood by Finn Dixon.  This just looks like so much fun, I love this funny excerpt and I'm a sucker for opposites attract.  When you love the excerpt, go and pre-order the book now, it's out on August 10th so not long to wait!

From the blurb:

When NYC party boy Micah gets roped into being a counselor at a summer camp deep in the Maine wilderness, he's convinced it's the start of a disaster movie. But things go from bad to erect, once he finds out his bunkmate is Wyatt, the ruggedly handsome and muscular lifeguard who can start a fire with two sticks and a smirk.

Micah's idea of roughing it involves spotty Wi-Fi and the occasional Starbucks outage, but fortunately he has six abdominal-shaped reasons to pay attention to Wyatt and his outdoorsy lessons. As Micah trades spa days for bonfire nights, Wyatt finds himself falling for the city boy who’s more likely to post about the sunrise than wake up for one.

With each new adventure–whether it’s Micah’s sunburnt bum or Wyatt’s rope-tying tutorial–their unlikely romance blooms. At Camp Jackwood, pitching a tent is easy, but can a relationship work between a guy who’s lost in the woods, and one who’s locked away his heart?

Excerpt:

“I can’t believe it wasn’t locked.”
“The camp's in the middle of the woods.” Wyatt stopped searching through the cupboard to give me a look. “Who’s going to break in?”
“The campers,” I answered. “Criminals.”
“Criminals?? Wyatt scoffed. “You’re hilarious. If criminals are interested in anything around here, it’s the resort across the lake. Termites are all we’ve got here.”
I narrowed my eyes and firmly planted a hand on each hip. “I also said campers.”
“They’d have to know where to look, Micah. And none of them are tall enough to reach here anyway. You want a Twinkie or Reese’s peanut butter cups?”
“Are there any Reese’s Pieces?”
“Hmmm, no.”
“Hey!”
My heart dropped just as the light flicked on.
“Nice butts, guys.”
It was Kai.
“Hey, dude.”
Of course Wyatt would sound so casual. I had grabbed the nearest thing and attempted to cover my junk with it.
“You might want to give that to Wyatt, Micah. Looks like he’s more Pringles can size.”
I glanced next to me to see Wyatt’s cock in its full-masted glory behind his hands…and a Twinkie? His hands were big but not big enough. I was sure Kai was getting an eyeful and he did not seem to be unhappy about it.
Should I give him the Pringles can?
“We were hungry,” Wyatt said.
“I’m sensing that.” Kai smirked, leaned back against the counter and crossed his arms. “Don’t let me stop you.”
“Uhhh” was the only sound I could make. Was he seriously going to stand there?
Wyatt grabbed the can of Pringles from me and I immediately covered myself with my hands. He popped the lid open, tore off the seal and reached in for a chip.
“Cover yourself up!” I scolded.
Wyatt shrugged. “You’re the one that wanted to streak, so we’re streaking.”
“This isn’t streaking, this is standing in the middle of a kitchen getting ogled by some dude.”
“Some dude? I happen to be–”
“Not helping, Kai,” I said before turning back to my new, apparently shameless, boyfriend. “Can you please cover up?”
“He’s already seen it.”
“When?!” I death-glared Kai as Wyatt answered, “Just now.”
“Well, I guess I’ll stand here then,” I said, moving myself in front of him to block Kai’s view.
“Now it looks like you’re fucking.” Kai smirked.
“Ugh.” I turned my back to him only to find Wyatt staring at me and smiling.
“You’re really cute when you’re jealous.”
“We need to get out of here,” I whispered. “Also, make sure to grab me the peanut butter cups.”
“Here.”
I looked over my shoulder. Kai had moved closer to us and was holding something in his hands.
“They’re aprons.” He shrugged. “If you want.”
I snatched them immediately and put Wyatt’s on first.
“What are you doing here so late anyway?” I asked.
“You mean early. It’s four in the morning. I’m about to start cooking breakfast.”
When mine was securely tied around my waist, I turned around to face him. “Makes sense.” I grabbed Wyatt’s hand and pulled. “Let’s go.”
Wyatt allowed himself to be tugged past Kai, who couldn’t resist one more tease.
“See you in a few hours at breakfast, boys. I’ll be sure to have some fresh coffee to go with your hot buns.”
“Hilarious, Kai!” I called over my shoulder.

Camp Jackwood will be available as an e-book and is released on August 10th.
