You've Got Male (Rom-Com Reboot) by DJ Jamison

Book 3 of DJ Jamisons Rom-Com Reboot series where classic rom coms are brought into a new queer light. You've Got Male is a a enemies to lovers low angst bi awakening story.

From the blurb:

My friends are all about the romance. Me? I've got other things to worry about.

Carrying on my uncle's little record store--his legacy--means everything to me.

Too bad a big entertainment store is opening across the street. The owner, Chase Fox, is too friendly, too smooth--too annoying. He knows I'm straight, and his competition besides, and still he flirts with me.

My only comfort is the new friend I met on the SeattleLife site. We never exchanged real names, and I don't know if they're a guy or a girl, but there's a freedom in that. I can say anything to them without holding back.

But as time goes on, I get more curious. And more confused.

Could my online pal be more than a friend? Even if they're not a woman?

And why are Chase's flirty smiles suddenly giving me flutters and making me wish for the impossible--that my business rival and my closest online friend might actually be the same guy.

A guy meant to be mine.

You've Got Male is Book 2 in the Rom-Com Reboot series that takes inspiration from classic Hollywood movies, gives them a new twist, a lot more M/M heat, and a satisfying HEA!

Molly Otto's Review:

Loving DJ is bringing some of my favorite rom coms with a new queer twist. Austin runs a small indie shop, and when he sees a bigger shop moving into town, he immediately goes on the defensive. Unknowing he's getting business advice as well as a new bi curious attraction to his enemy. These two have undeniable chemistry and just take them having real conversations to see they are in this together. It was a fun quick read when I wanted to go back to classics but different. I can't wait to see what rom com is brought back for a twist next.

Jacqueleen The Reading Queen's Review:

This was a really cute enemies to lovers romance in the Rom Com reboot series by DJ Jamison. I'm loving how Seattlelife page is bringing all these couples together. It brought up my enjoyment trying to spy the similarities with the original You've Got Mail movie. Sometimes it would take a bit for the penny to drop, like with their usernames. It has been years since I've seen the movie though to be fair to myself.

Chase was a fun character and he had no qualms flirting with Austin, regardless of whether or not Austin identified as a straight male. He needn't have worried though, because it turns out Austin isn't as straight as he may have believed and isn't that just wonderful! I love a newbie!

"ʏᴏᴜ'ʀᴇ ᴍɪɴᴇ, ᴀʀᴇɴ'ᴛ ʏᴏᴜ? ᴛᴇʟʟ ᴍᴇ ʏᴏᴜ'ʀᴇ ᴍɪɴᴇ."

"ɪ'ᴍ ʏᴏᴜʀꜱ ᴄʜᴀꜱᴇ."

No true hints really for where this series could go next. Well, I may have felt some vibes between Ellis and Jordan. Mainly Jordan and an oblivious Ellis to be honest. Either way I'm looking forward to more of these short and sweet reads.

Heather's Review:

The latest Rom-Com reboot was cute rivals to lovers story, but I honestly didn't get enemy vibes.  It was sweet and steamy and flirty and fun and I love that the bi-awakening, the family business issues and an adorable kid.  I am enjoying this series and can't wait to see what movie DJ tackles next.
