Love Bites (Love Bank Romance Book 3) by Duckie Mack; Narrated by Cole Michael Kurcz & Kevin Earlywine

Love Bites shows how good demisexuality should be written. With opposites attracting and a fun food truck rivalry, this book has an overall laid-back vibe that draws you in.

From the blurb:

Finding your way to love one bite at a time.

Jonah might have hit it big as a member of a rock band, but his dreams go beyond music. His heart belongs in the kitchen. A food truck seems like the perfect solution to let him do both.

Donovan "Van" has worked hard for his restaurant on wheels. He won’t let anything get in the way of his passion, not even a new guy crashing onto the food truck scene.

Jonah and Van might have gotten off to a rough start, but when Jonah needs help, Van is the one who shows up. Can these two competitors become companions?

The Love Bank Romance series features stand-alone stories that can be listened to individually, but I recommend listening to the series to see your favorite characters again.

Molly Otto's review:

It's just an overall fun laid-back book with a well-done demisexual representation. Yes, you wanted to smack someone for being judgemental prior to even talking to someone. But at the same time you could understand his side and when he was asked for help be didn't hesitate. These two had a beautiful build-up from friends to more. It was nice to see how the band all supported one another and let them all live their dreams even when times changed. It is a beautiful story of growth.

Audio update: Cole Michael Kurcz & Kevin Earlywine made a great pairing for this audibook. They play off one another beautifully. They kept you in the story without being too dramatic. I'm glad to have tried them out and will grab the others from this series.
