Well, this is a debut urban fantasy novel unlike any other. My brain is trying to wrap around this was their first , like really how is that even possible? The way the world is laid put is spellbinding and masterful on a level of some of my favorites, like seriously impressed.
This is a slow burn, low heat, nonstop action tale from start to finish. You are captured in the first chapter and don't let you go until the very end (guys, this is 400+ page book). Ghost & Shadow both made choices that led them on completely different paths, yet when they were thrown together, they meld perfectly. They build their relationship to trust, and eventually, that allows both to be free and happy.
Cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

A thief and a loner for the last 7 years, Kit is known as the Shadow, prides himself on never getting caught, and has to always be on the move. Forced into being part of an elite witch hunting unit, Kit thinks each day will be his last and he will make a run for it, but once he fights to get the team to like him, he doesn’t really want to go. Add to that the scary, sexy, enigmatic leader of the group known as the Ghost, and Kit is constantly flirting and trying to get to know Zach better, even if it may be a dangerous distraction.
Kit is such a fun character, full of sass, having learned to be a survivor and slowly realizing he does like to rely on others even if it makes him have feelings. This story has tons of action and danger, a great group of secondary characters, and two main characters that are independent and strong but find a special connection that makes them want to work at staying together. A well written and compelling start to a new exciting series, can’t wait to read more adventures with Shadow and Ghost.
