From the blurb:

Can one man’s dreams help him reach another man’s heart?

Lorcan Swain has the world at his feet. Apart from his music and his daughter, Amy, there is no room in his life for anything or anyone else—until an accident makes him see what has been right in front of him all this time: Rogan.

Rogan Hanlon is passionate about two things—music, and his boss, Lorcan, lead singer of Grambo. A birth defect forces him to keep both passions hidden and his heart protected.
Who would want a disfigured man?

Once Lorcan sets his heart on something, he goes all out to get it. The two weapons in his arsenal to help him achieve his goal are Amy and his music. And if that means using them both on the biggest stage at Rocktoberfest to prove how he feels?

Bring. It. On

Sheena's Review:

This is part of the Road to Rocktoberfest multi-author series, and also my first book from this author. Lorcan is the lead singer for a very successful rock band, and Rogan is the live-in teacher/nanny for his 6 year daughter. From the start, there's a real connection between Lorcan and Rogan even though both deny it. Rogan is shy and self-conscious about a disfigurement that's colored a lot of his life, yet Lorcan doesn't see any of that and it was quite heartwarming to see. This is low angst, low (almost no) heat, and that really worked for these two.

There is some drama with the requisite horrible band manager, causing all kinds of trouble for not only Rogan, but Lorcan and the band, too. Things start to come together for Rogan and Lorcan when there's a horrible accident and Rogan needs 24-hour care and refuses the hospital (understandably after what he's been through in the past), allowing the two to become closer. Things come to a head during a party at the house and the manager is involved again.

This was more about Rogan finding confidence in himself, and in the fact that Lorcan loved him as he was, than any romance which is all pretty much off-page. Overall, I quite enjoyed this and Lorcan and Rogan's story.

Heather's Review:

This book is probably one of the sweeter tales to come out of this year's multi-author Road to Rocktoberfest.  It includes an eye opening accident that focuses Lorcan's growing interest in the man who has been responsible for raising and educating his child while he toured with his band, and more eye opening experiences once he's focused on Rogan...

I love that Lorcan's role in Rogan's life is not only to love him, but to build him up and help him look past the physical to allow his talent to blossom, along with their romance.  It's also lovely to see the two men interact with Lorcan's daughter and the whole band embracing the new family, despite the worst efforts of their band manager and their own insecurities.
